Ashwini handing out money to Pakhi

Anyone else who found that scene very, very distasteful? After watching Pakhi and her parents wishing Sai, Ashwini immediately does the nazar utarna of the couple (it is symbolic to the show's story) but then hands out the money to PP, gareebon me baatna aur mere Virat aur Sai ki Jodi ke liye aashirwad mangna.

I love Ashwini. I haven't found her to be entirely wrong even in her taunts to PP (and of course she needs to pull up Virat). But I didn't like this action at all. It was extremely disrespectful to PP to be handed out the nazar utara hua money like that.

I am sure had Virat had the courage to accept the relationship before Samrat's marriage to Pakhi, Ashwini would have embraced PP the way she has embraced Sai. So, why is she so bitter towards PP. I know that PP's conduct has been awkward and aloof from the family and she's been too occupied in her thoughts about trying to control Virat with the vaada all the time to even bother about others in the family but this was not right?

Also, Karishma wo paise sach me gareebon ko degi kya?😆

After seeing that scene I was like as she knows their equation...it was a bit OTT from her side...but then again I thought she was the one from the family standing closer to her so she just gave away in a flow without thinking twice that it was Pakhi there... don't know what her real intentions were

@bold hmmm...from someone who not is familiar with the Hindu custom, I thought it was given to her because she was the bari bahu. As responsibilities are expected to be completed by the oldest DIL. Right?

With Virat witnessing all this, he needs to have an open talk with Ashwini.

Ever since Karishma's revelation about Virat and Pakhi's feelings for each other, Ashwini has been rude to Pakhi. I don't blame her but I find it disappointing that she hasn't applied the same metric to Virat. If Pakhi is in love with her devar while being married, Virat is also in love with his brother's wife. She refuses to say anything to Virat.

And yes, I totally agree. It was very distasteful and it seemed like a snide taunt to Pakhi, a sort of "jagah dikhana" that Virat is now Sai's.

I understand Ashwini's fear since we're assuming that Ashwini has been the Sai to Ninad's Virat and Bhavani's Pakhi. IF this is true, I would imagine she'd be more disappointed in her husband than her vahini? Again, this is sort of regressive. Blaming the woman for distracting the man etc. Reminds me of the Sushant- Rhea Chakraborty incident. 🤔

The makers are leaving no stone unturned to turn Paakhi's intentions negative.

Although ashwini is wrong in the way she is behaving towards pakhi, it isn't totally unjustified. Reason being is because even since the moment pakhi married samrat she's constantly calling virat, being around virat, virat this virat that, and on top of it virat too is always doing this pakhi is my dost jaap when ashwini justifiably points out to pakhi too that even though pakhi and virat keep saying they are friends, there needs to be a limit to their friendship, and again ashwini behaviour towards pakhi has a lot to do with how pakhi seems to not give a damn about her own marriage since start and seems to be clingy towards virat and virat too behaves same with pakhi, as well as the fact that virat-pakhi so-called friendship between bhabhi-devar in ashwini's eyes is history repeating itself the way she her own husband and bhavani kaku are.

Ashwini is justifiably wary towards pakhi and virat-pakhi friendship, and more so because pakhi shamelessly continues with her virat is just my best friend jaap and keeps interfering in his life rather than focusing on her own life, and ashwini is not wrong there, except that she should be giving same taunts to her own son too. Ashwini needs to tell virat too that she finds his "friendship" with his bhabhi very suspicious and tells him that she doesn't want him being a slave to his bhabhi like his father is who never has a mind of his own and never treats his own wife with respect because he is always busy following his bhabhi bhavani.

Ashwini is not so much a fan of Paakhi since she found out about the supposed love. Agree, she should put Virat up for half the blame too. But maybe this time it was unintentional coz Paakhi was the one standing the closest.

I differ a bit here I guess😆 I found it a bit odd but I think Ashwini didn't do it to taunt or hurt pakhi. I guess she just gave it as Pakhi is the bahu of the house. I believe if Karishma was standing there Ashwini would have done the same. I feel she just gave it as a responsibility to Pakhi as th bahu of Chavan house

@Bold I think Aswini said that even if Pakhi does not understand this Virat needs to understand that Pakhi is a married women now. But I haven't seen her clearly stating that to Virat. She is subtly resisting Virat for him getting Pakhi involved in Virat-Sai equation. Par Virat to Virat hai...'Aai Pakhi family member hai...' Yes, she should snide Virat more as he is her son and not Pakhi.

I do not know if Ashwini knows the whole 'love' story. She knew that her son liked someone at Nashik. Then suddenly he came heartbroken after visiting Pakhi's house after haladi ceremony. She being sensitive mother did think that her son was ditched?
