While wrapping up for returning to Nagpur fromGC (before Sai's suicide) Virat tried burning the Rose given by Pakhi. (I liked the direction in that scene.) I would have loved (developed respect for the character) if he had done it completely. What the forum folks inferred from that scene?

Sorry for bringing up old scenes on the forum but I joined recently and had these questions then.

We did discuss this at the time and my take was that Virat subconsciously knows that was a crappy promise and crappy thing to do. I felt that’s why he unintentionally tried to burn it but his guilt was too much.

I think he burnt it knowing there is no hope for his feelings now as Pakhi is married, but then he stopped the flames because now the rose symbolizes the promise he made to pakhi.
