LTL is Laagi Tujhse Lagan....it was essentially written like a fable and the journey of this girl Nakusha whose beauty is her curse because she's born poor. What happens when she meets Dutta who is essentially like the overlord/Don of a fictional town called Patilwadi and how they have this whole journey of falling in love forms the basis of the story. With LTL though, you need more patience😆.....it has more high drama....but if you stick with it, you are rewarded with some amazingly poignant scenes and arcs. It has a bit of retro movies ka filmy feel too with larger than life villains and actions sequences😆.

If large than life thing is executed nicely and is part of the story it is still watchable😆 Waise thanks for the warning helps to keep expectations closer to the reality😆

Btw fun fact for you.....apna Bunty from EDKV2 is a child artist in LTL....he played the FL's little brother Sethji😆

Bunty miyaan as a child artist😆 that will be nice to watch.

Beauty and the beast inspired to an extent keh sakte hain but Dutta hates khoobsoorat ladkiyan and he has big enough reasom for it. He falls for nakku for her inner beauty where everyone else calls her ugly and badsurat he finds her the most beautiful for her heart . They both are not perfect by duniya ke meters of measuring these things Dutta has a lot of kamiyan too and how these guys overcome these and their journey to becoming whole is rather awesome and waise the retro 70's vibe just works you will get it when you see it. The don of patilwadi thing is done so well matlab lagta hai koi gangster ki duniya hai it just works . Aur bohat logon ne try kia yeh baad min and have failed.

Sach boloon I like this one more than ADHM this just works big time. The dilemma of gulaal is captured so beautifully here not to say adhm isn't good but I loved this one way more ❤ I think it is the song effect adhm.is kaafi overused har kisi ne har kisi pe mix kia tha toh mujhe thodi chidh si ho gayi hai esp after seeing it on bakwaas couples 😔

LOL yes, it's sort of a twist on the Beauty and the Beast story, except the "Beauty" in question here is herself viewed as a beast because she is made to look ugly to hide her beauty.

As Fary pointed out, the story essentially charts this journey through perceptions of beauty - both internal and external and how those play a part in DN's story.....the baggage that both of them come with for different reasons. It sounds fantastical on the surface that anyone can build a story around a girl applying soot on her face but this show managed it. The makers actually force you to confront perceptions of physical appearance and look beyond it....cuz they really go out of their way to make the FL look "ugly" vis a vis the black makeup and prosthetics they pile on her....but the win for the story IMO is in the way they make you adore her character for her qualities and along with the ML, the audience also learns to look beyond appearances. And then ofcourse there is the ML Dutta.....his presence looms large over the story once he enters....the way his friendship develops with Nakku, their convos, the falling in love....Mishal Raheja was fabulous in this role.

Re: Bunty.....lol yes, he plays a smartass in this too constantly cracking wisecracks😆.

Basically the story begins in a very poor basti and for once, the depiction of the daily struggles of a poor family dealing with misfortunes isn't shown in a trite manner but a hard-hitting manner.....the ensemble cast was superb.....a lot of veteran actors including the lady playing Nakku's mom Baabi, her drunk stepdad, and then later on famous cameos like Mohan Kapoor too.

And then we stopped the day Dutta left and was replaced and Utne mainnhi Full story and journey hainone doesn't feel ke kuch reh gaya uske baad na humne mud ke dekha na hi it matters. Just giving you some Info so if you plan to watch aage Don't blame us ke mujhe kya kachra dekhna pada😆 utna hi matter karta hai and Dutta nakku and baaji forver sweethearts❤️ again a show where even tai the villain is of epic level and meri toh fav hai bhai kala tai ashka Gorardia was at her finest. A villain I wholeheartedly enjoyed watching and still do . Matlab kitna kam hota hai ke one cheers and enjoys vamps too.

Oh I liked Aashka Goradia in whatever I saw. Hahaha @ kachra dekhna bit😆 Waise if I don’t like a particular character, I do forward their bits. 😆 I am a pro at skipping, which is why I am amazed I watched Gulaal almost without skipping. Initially I just skipped Talli scenes and in the end Saru bua track a lot of scenes😆

Edit: if you want something light toh go for IB or otherwise go for LTL caz IB main bohat kuch will test your patience just saying and everything else is pretty much irrelevant and not worth talking about other than shivika 😆

Maybe I can watch both in turns depending on the mood😆

While uploading the scenes, it still pinches me that we have such low quality print for so many of them.....imagine agar 720p waale epis hote....sigh.

Haha yes, ADHM is very overused but for me, it just felt long overdue to make a GK VM on that song toh I made it finally😆.

But yes, this HDDCS one works for Gulaal big time indeed.
