Coincidentally it was watching a GK VM on this song someone had made on YT that pulled me into checking it out....the "Kyun sukoon dil paaye na" line was made for Kesar😆.

Ironic that this song was played more on Vasant-Gulaal while they were falling in love but it ultimately suited GK more IMO.

I liked it for both but the slow version more and yes that kyon sukoon dil paaye na is so for kesar.

Oh I know main bhi iss liye zyada bol nahi rahi abhi Don't want to ruin it for spidey and uske feelz ka kachumbar nahi nikalna mujhe 😆 but wah man wah. Matlab this is 6hr kind of content that makes you crave for more. I am actually upset that I am done . Yeh dil manage more for real. Warna aajkal toh jab kuch khatam hota hai toh it's like Tha k God museebat khatam hui.hardly aisa feel nikalta hai. I legit had tears in my eyes too in this scene. Isi liye mujhe aur chidh mach rahi thi faltu characters ki bakwaas se.

The wholesomeness in this and well in that last episode the way they had tied every thread together was brilliant. Though I wish ke KT ke bajaye durgesh ka kya hua woh batate that is the only lose end they left they never showed what happened on that front. Personally mera interest usme zyada hota instead of Talli ke sasurali flop scenes. That would've elevated it even more and this is why I am a bit disappointed 😞 but Other than that they had done a brilliant job bihat kam shows manage to tie all lose ends and give the closure to everyone. But still yeh meri critique rahegi they wasted too much time in last weeks episodes on useless content and kinda ignored the important 2 things

LOL haan and if you recall, maine tumhein yeh shaayad bola bhi tha when you started your watch ki last phase mein they went kinda off track and wasted time in some faltu side angles.....but since they still gave us a good GK ending, we also didn't complain that much😆.

Socho tumhein abhi bura lag raha hai ki khatam kyun ho gaya.....those of us who were watching in real time were feeling the loss big time😆. And now toh in hindsight aur bhi pinch karta hai given the current lack of substance on ITV. You know na, which show Gulaal was axed for?😆.....Sabka fav. dabba show....DABH😆.

Yes, they wasted time in the last stretch and frankly I toh would have liked better loop closure on Dushyant too.....after everything, I think uska and Kesar ka bhi ek final convo banta tha....and I wanted Kesar to know the truth of Raman too....since Raman was the one who misled him so many times and did so many horrible things to him. Durgesh toh bahut pehle hi irrelevant ho gaya tha I guess...lol his only purpose in the story ended up being for the MU for Kesar.

In real time toh we were losing some hope around the Saru Fui track only ki shaayad show ab aise hi typical kar denge and end kar denge....then we were pleasantly surprised in the last phase post the Dushyant revelation.....but even after all that, they didn't fully capitalize on Gulaal's realization...thoda rushed toh tha hi....but still given the levels of writing in most other shows, this was still good....baaki Manasi and Neil enacted it all so well too that it came together.

Aaj kal ke shit shows dekhti hoon toh I feel even less inclined to criticize the not so good bits of Gulaal....lol woh bhi masterpiece lagte hain in comparison to aajkal ki half-baked writing😆

Main samjh rahi hoon and agree with all points of yours isi liye maine bhi zyada nahi bola even though I wanted gulaal ka realization and the admit karna to be the main focus then caz saari story toh uske denial and confusion pe based thi this very thing that was holding her back was done in such a rushed way that disappointment aside the fact that it still had logic they used a logical argument to make her understand that. The badlav is the very nature of existence nothing lasts forever and one should not hold oneself down with that toh still atleast uss rushed wrap main bhi effort toh tha and esp aajkal ke shows ke comparison main which is why I felt it did justice to KG even if rushed.

Yeah with dushyant angle too in the end bhi they verbally went ok free him matlab ek scene ke liye toh laa hi sakte thay usse waapis the family wholeheartedly forgiving him and moving on going with the badlav theme only caz yeah he did a lot to sudharo himself and agar sab maaf kar bhi dete toh bhi uska apna conflict apne aap se toh lifelong chalta hi na.. I felt they did do injustice to this character in that way he did deserve the love of kesar like before and sort their differences caz again unka bonding koi itna chota toh tha nahi. They needed closure and same for Raman too. They forgave him so easily and I was appalled at kesar even suggesting that Raman should get the mojdi just caz he is the eldest. I mean come on he did enough damage to them his entire life if anything again dushyant deserved it more than Raman or give it to giga usne toh kisi ka kuch nahi bigaada tha na.

Durgesh I didn't expect much until kesar started his investigation again and brought the truth out but then they totally voided it so fast what was the point of dragging the big finding out for so long agar koi consequence hona hi nahi tha. I had lost hope until kesar went well the mystery is who did it and why tab meri umeed jaggi thi and then they totally ignored that too. So yeah loopholes in that sense thay but still I am calling it closure for most of them because aajkal ke shows se tohhhh bohaaaattttt better and thoughtful thay ends jo jisko jitna mila.

Lol acha mujhe nahi pata tha for DABH this was axed😆 but lol sure😆 and dard toh hoga hi abhi bhi caz again itne well done shows nahi milte and the fun part is I have no emotional attachment offscreen ya I haven't been part of fandom this sadness is purely based on characters and what I saw 10 yrs later. I understand in real time toh kitna dukha hoga given ke kisi na kisi tarah when you know about what is happening BTS too woh zyada dukhta hai caz then one feels even more helpless not able to save such a quality show.

@bold: Ideally that is how it should be for any show na😆.....ki attachment story and characters se feel ho and offscreen buzz shouldn't overshadow the actual content. Sadly aajkal aisa kuch nahin hota.

Luckily Gulaal also aired before the social media hoopla started.....and is show ka toh BTS bhi bahut kam hi aata tha....very few offscreen segments of Neil-Manasi.....bas last epi ke time I think they had done a proper joint IV reminiscing about the shoot/crew/scenes.

I just have a few gifs from that time....lol

haan hona toh aise hi chahiye na ideally but hota nahi hai 😆esp aaj kal ke daur main jab zyada log hype karte hain shit ko based on the so called fake bondings offscreen ya nakli tamsha that one can see through. i mean hamesha se koi kisi ke offscreen se bhi tabhi bond karta hai na jab chracter se connect ho warna why would someone want to knwo what they are doing or what is happening atleast mera toh hamesha se aisa hi raha hai i only watch offscreen for chaacters i like and enjoy and koi shipping anisi toh nahi ki kabhi ki bas bache paida kar lo like aajkal ke log. one watches offscreen and discusses it only caz something about orginal character onscreen is good enough na. i mean pehle toh aisa hi hota tha ab aise paagal fandoms hain jinko sirf offscreen nonsense hi dekhni hoti hai onscreen jaaye bhaad main and bas apne apne fav ko chane ke jhaad pe chadhana hota hai.

pehle sabke hi segments kam aate thay and jab aate thay toh they used to be well worth it har waqt log SM pe stories daalne nahi bhiathe hote thay ya modelling karne isi liye quality of work better that. what i meant with mujhe esp koi knowledge nahi this and still i connected with maine toh itna bhi nahi dekha tha and even those who have seen and enjoyed woh ek fondness and bandhan sa bandh jaata tha offscreen pairing se bhi which hurt more in real time. like it happened with NarBhi e.g.😆 ek attacment form ho jaata hai with pairings who seem natural and behave esp keyword being behave main reasont oth unke characters hi hote hain na and then it doubles up ke ab yeh sab bhi nahi milega. it is about priorities humari hamesha shows and chracters hi rahe hain offscreen being a secondary bonus thing acha toh acha nahi toh na sahi but jab log offscreen ko hi priority bana lete hain then it is an issue and ab sadly aise hi hota hai woh bhi zabardast ki priority to win some non existent competition.

Haha thanks about the gifs....haan the 100x100 days feel like a different lifetime now, haina?😆....I learnt to first make gifs in that size and stack them....and ab koi woh use hi nahin karta.....big size gifs are in fashion now😆

Re: offscreen....yeah basically ab duniya badal gayi hai and people are more consumed with showing off rather than working on the substance of things. Hype ke basis pe kaam chal raha hai so people don't bother with other things like story/characterization. Narbhi ka case thoda rare tha where the onscreen content mapped out well with the offscreen hype and we got more pulled in. Neil-Manasi ke case mein ek toh GK were an unconventional pair that weren't even built on any "hawt" chemistry to promote....so that also kept their offscreen vibe low key. Aajkal toh yeh manufactured hype hoopla koi escape kar le toh lucky honge.....everyone gets dragged down into a gutter sooner or later and nobody seems able to manage their image unless they disengage from social media😆. Cuz aajkal saari energy offscreen image manage karne mein jaati hai rather than working on onscreen content which should be the actual summation of any show.

Haha aww sorry yaar.....I thought I'll post it since you've finished watching the show😆.

Neil ki nautanki in the beginning....."Jeetu, tu bahut yaad aayega"😆.

But I liked when they both talked about what a special show Gulaal was and Neil explaining ki jokes apart, the show has provided so much creative satisfaction in just 5 months of the time he got to be on it.....and you can see the truth of it in the quality of the show na....when he mentions what a fantastic crew and directors they had....you can see they all knew they were working on a top class show....even if they were sad about it ending, they cherished what a genuinely special experience it was.

What a startling difference there is between how people used to talk about shows pehle and the way shows are talked about today.....kabhi aisa sincere feel nahin aata in discussions of writers or crew now.....lol cuz most of them know they are working on utter trash nowadays😆. Bas dost ban jaate hain aapas mein toh they become attached to the show but the quality of the work product is shit only.

This director Siddharth Sengupta....I used to follow his work whenever I saw his name in the credits anywhere after Gulaal....but he never regularly directed a show after that. Just a few initial epis of JLZ, Rangrasiya....but overall it's like this guy retired from ITV....who can blame him😆.
