Here is my list for next year
For the month of December I’ll be picking out 2 books.
Since many here wanted to read Colleen Hoover’s books, I thought we’d read probably her best book in the month of December. The book is It Ends With Us. Since it’s not the BOTM so there is no compulsion to read or discuss it.
Since next month’s book is a light read I thought we could have another book to read besides that.
I am currently listening to a fantasy so as soon as I am done, I will listen to It Ends With Us! My expectations are quite high. 😳
Is anyone else done with Anxious People?
You guys carry on with the discussion. I haven't finished, only halfway done. 🤔
Books I would definitely like to get to in 2021 are
1. If Tomorrow Comes by Sidney Sheldon and few of his other works. My mom owns many of his books and is a huge fan so there's where my interest comes from.
2. The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater. There's a found family trope so it's guaranteed that I am gonna love it!
3. Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan. I was definitely the one who read Harry Potter again and again instead of trying other middle grade series so I just want to read these books before the Disney Plus PJ series comes out.
4. Wayward Children by Seanan McGuire. I have heard it's quite whimsical.
5. Any Grace Draven book especially Phoenix Unbound and Radiance.

Same. I've just reached the halfway point, so it'll probably take me a few more days to finish.
I'm just not in a reading mood right now amd that's probably why it's taking me so long to read it. I'm craving for a fast-paced, page turner right now. Preferably something that's not too long.
@Anam: I am also really interested in Radio Silence by Alice Oseman. Have been hearing so much praise for the author. I would also like to get to her newest release, Loveless.
@Diya: 1984 and The Picture of Dorian Gray are on my tbr too! I have heard the latter one is quite an accessible classic.
I read The Kite Runner last year. What a book! Though it's not a 5 star read for me, I still remember every detail of it. It leaves a mark!
I can't wait for you to read Home Before Dark. You should read Lock Every Door. Content wise, I found Lock Every Door scarier but HBD is more fun, imo.
@oliviamartin78: I have only read The Mother in Law by Sally Hepworth but from that book, I felt her strong point is character work instead of building a mystery or creating a thrill.
Beloved has been on my tbr for years!

I understand. I am not in a reading mood either. Its so easy for me to lose focus. And, anyways I am reading more fanfics nowadays. 😆

I've read If Tomorrow Comes, and it was nice. Faced-paced thriller with some romance thrown into it. What's not to like. But it's the sort of book I read and liked but won't read again. And this one's the only book I've read in the series. Share what you think of it when you read it.
Percy Jackson series is another one I loved. It's meant for younger kids than HP, and you can tell it while reading, but I still enjoyed it. Also the next series, The Heroes of Olympus. Reading that series actually made me interested in Greek Mythology, and helped me untangle some of the who's-who of it all, which seemed almost impossible before I read PJatO. It's been some time since I read something related to that. Maybe I'll pick some Greek Mytho again.
Besides that I've only heard about Wayward children, but don't know much about it. What genre is it?

Sure. Let's see how I much like Sidney Sheldon's works.
I know. Later books of HP are more young adult but I think PJO is fully middle grade. Anyways, I would like to read some middle grades next year. Most of them sound very fun and who doesn't enjoy saving the day trope? Nevermoor is on my list too. Have you read that?
Wayward Children is a fantasy series. They are extremely short and is known for the atmosphere and the world building.

i always heard about Ugly Love more but omg we are gonna read more of hers yayyyy🥳 there are some parts which put me off but overall i am still addicted to the book!
I have a question though, which guy were you all shipping with Lily? Ryle or Atlas? I am more towards Atlas-Lily as they had a solid build up of friendship and emotional bonding which is interesting to read....Ryle-Lily are so far just physical🤢
Ugly Love might be the more hyped one but It Ends With Us is the more liked one, I think.
It’s Atlas and Lily for me and for most of the readers as well.
There was to be a movie made on this book, I wonder what happened to that 😕
