I am trying to avoid reading both of yours Gulaal discussion . The entire time you talked about angst but I did not connect the dots😲 I thought angst would be a result of his possessiveness towards Gulaal and his misunderstanding of Gulaal- Dushyant relationship! But Kesars situation and the basis of angst is so deep , it just makes the impact so much more.

I can’t fathom the pressure cooker like situation Kesar is in and it has been so for 10 damn long years!!! Knowing Vasant ( his soul) , is killed by Dushyant( the one who pampered him and whom he went to if he needed help) and Gulaal (his everything, basis of his trust, faith) knowing it all along , and he is living with this truth without being able to share it with anyone. What a fate for him that everyone thinks that angst is because he was sent to boarding and he was not allowed to share a room with Gulaal. What a situation to be in for everyone. The pain, turmoil, hurt that Kesar, Gulaal and Dushyant is going through is just inexplicable.

Durgesh is a real strong villain. He is just playing mind games with everyone involved. How much more effective is that, rather than using force attacking everyone mentally. Thats fierce kind of revenge!

I don’t know how they manage to do it. The show started with near perfection in all department, its amazing then they managed to go further up from there, its just unimaginable for an ITV show.

There is just too much to discuss for every little thing.

Haha it was half shade....I'm surprised you caught it😆....yeah I've read them saying ki guaranteed SB will shut down and RK will shut down....so far, neither of those things seem to be happening😆. Kabhi kabhi I read all this and think that Krishna himself would be super amused to see what a wide range of theories people have about him😆.....it's not about whether to believe in his divinity or not....as a character itself, he is just such a rich goldmine of philosophy that it's a pity that so many people are blind to that in their need to either blindly oversimplify him/worship him or to dismiss him.

LOL yes, I also didn't want to spoil it for you so I didn't give you the actual detail of the reason for the angst.....but now you can understand why exactly Kesar was in so much turmoil. As you said, it was a pressure cooker situation for him for 10 years....there was no one he could talk to about what he saw, how to rationalize it.....such a complicated thing because he only learnt the half truth....that Dushyant murdered his beloved brother Vasant...but he didn't know that Dushyant repented/reformed since then....and he didn't know why Gulaal ultimately forgave Dushyant too and supported him....and these half truths just created a total volcanic turmoil in his mind for soooo many years. It's such richly textured angst....like once in a generation type writing it felt....we were totally FLOORED watching it😆.

I know there's a LOT to discuss cuz there is so much nuance in every little thing😆....but I'm looking forward to reading your takes on the big scenes whenever you get to them :)

Have you watched the scene when Kesar returns home after 10 years? I'd love to read your take on it.
