We hate the biasedness makers do to selected contestants and give a free pass to their favourite contestants.
We hate the hosting of Salman Khan.
We hate the winner every season,
but despite all this, we watch this show every season.
Why do we watch this show if we bash it every season on this forum?
Is it because of FOMO?
Do you watch the show only because others around you watch it and we don't want to left out when your friends and family discuss the show?
Is "fear of missing out" the ultimate reason for you to watch this show despite all it's flaws?
Absolutely yes. I started watching from season 3. It was mainly because I liked the 2004 season of Big Brother UK. From then on, I haven't missed a single episode and a single unseen/extra-masaala clip on voot or online.
And I watch the first 2-3 weeks with attention, then it is just FOMO. Especially these days when episodes are mainly shouting matches and nothing much is going on. Sometimes I play the episode in background while I do something other work on my laptop, listening to everything but only watching occasionally.
It has almost become a ritual. Watch the episode online on the same day, then next day watch all the unseen and extra masaala clips and then browse these forums. I have been on these forums since season 4. I lost access to my previous user ID as I only come on these forums when BB is telecast and forgot the password and also the password to the recovery email. So I made a new one a few years ago.
And I know that the show is pretty predictable, very repetitive, not interesting, but I still watch it as it has become a ritual.
