It’s because Abhi is much less popular than Ruby so he thinks he needs Jas’s support to survive.

He himself mentioned a couple of days ago that he has different equations with the other housemates than Ruby cuz his game is separate from hers and so he will play differently lol

Ruby knows that she’s a sure shot finalist (top 2 at the very minimum imo) so she doesn’t feel the need to be worried about alliances that much but Abhi is the weaker link in this couple so he does feel the need find as many reliable allies as possible.

What Abhi’s mistake is that for some reason (maybe a soft corner) he still trusts Jas when it’s clear that while she may like Abhi but at the end of the day she will follow Aly and Aly wants Abhi outta the game.

So it’s high time for Abhi to listen to his wife and dump Jas and find new allies who are also looking for other people to make a group. He could have done that by supporting Kavita but he didn’t for various reasons including his soft corner for Jas who doesn’t get along with Kavita.

Look at Rahul on the other hand. He’s bff with Aly yet chose Kavita as the new captain cuz he knew that Jas doesn’t like him (no matter what Aly says). By helping out Kavita, Rahul has made new allies and is no longer dependent on only Aly to survive in this game.

Abhi gave up this great opportunity to make a new, loyal ally while Rahul didn’t. So Rahul proved to be smarter lol

Abhi still should ally with Eijaz and Pav cuz they themselves are looking for allies cuz they have no one else either. He gave up on the Kavita alliance but he shouldn’t give up on this chance otherwise he will have no allies and be a very easy target for nominations.
