It had been 3 days since Vansh had left them all and Riddhima hadn't slept properly. The baby blue of her outfit as well as the light dusting of makeup on her face presented the illusion that everything was ok. But everyone in the Raisinghania mansion knew, nothing would ever be the same anymore.
Riddhima heaved a sigh as she opened the door of her room and exited for the first time in 3 days. Whilst the family was mourning, Riddhima was planning, how to expose Kabir and Anupriya. She can still remember the day that Vansh died, the day she realised the relationship between Kabir and Anupriya as she overheard them talking about usurping Vansh's money. Riddhima attempted to slow the beating of her heart as she walked down the staircase and paused in the middle.
Rudra and Chanchal were lost in their old world. Yes they had tried to gather all of Vansh's wealth in a selfish bid. But now that their nephew was dead everything felt hopeless. They had come to the startling realisation that the phrase 'you don't know how much you love someone until they're gone' was ringing true. It seemed strange that the person who they'd disliked had been the same person who loved them with all his being. All that was left was regret.
Aryan as a person had disliked Vansh. Not because he was a horrible person, no, but because he was loved. Everyone loved Vansh but what about Aryan. Aryan who was always wrong, who was always messing things up, who couldn't be trusted. Well if he couldn't be trusted why should he even try to be the good that everyone wants him to be, it's not like anyone will ever love him. This was the pessimistic mindset that fuelled his hatred towards Vansh and now that he was dead, Aryan just felt lost. What would he do without his cousin, his brother. How could he just live knowing that Vansh was no longer a part of his life. Because he may have disliked Vansh, but now, now Aryan is pretty sure that Vansh was the only member of this household who actually loved him. He felt strangely alone, isolated.
Ishani rested her hand on her stomach as she looked at the faces of her family. She had all these people around her, Angre had promised to stand besides her even though he was free after the death of Vansh. Yet, she felt so alone. Her brother didn't love her as much as he loved Siya, that was obvious but she had loved her brother wholeheartedly, for all his flaws. And now, now there was a child growing in her belly and child that would never know it's uncle. Her family had never seen eye to eye, the only reason they even lived under the same roof was because of dadi and now that Vansh had died they'd all come together for the first time in their lives to express grief and yet Vansh wasn't here to witness the reunification of his family.
Riddhima clenched her fists as she glared at Anupriya, who stood besides dadi rubbing her shoulder in comfort. Her blood boiled as she noticed the smirk on her face and the twinkle in her eyes. That woman and her son had killed her husband and Riddhima was going to make them pay.
Riddhima carried on down this time catching the eye of dadi.
"Riddhima" dadi called in grief as she bounded towards her daughter - in - law and engulfed her in a hug. Riddhima reciprocated as she wrapped her arms around the only person's she trusted in this house. Her eyes never left those of Anupriya who still carried on her role of the grieving mother as fake tears dropped down her cheeks.
Anupriya glared at Riddhima, before she sobbed loudly, before speaking.
"How are you my dear, I've been losing my mind thinking about my son's death, it mustn't have been easy for you" Anupriya said as she feigned concern.
Riddhima escaped dadi's hug and walked towards Anupriya with purpose.
She looked at Anupriya with dead, emotionless eyes before speaking.
"Yes it must have been so hard to lose Vansh but at least you have another child to take care of you" Anupriya's eyes widened at the implications of Riddhima's words.
Riddhima smirked "I'm talking about Ishani" Riddhima gestured as she stared into Anupriya's eyes "Who did you think I was talking about" Riddhima innocently questioned.
"Um no one" Anupriya stuttered as she weakly smiled and hugged Riddhima. Riddhima hugged Anupriya back with only one phrase in her mind.
I will end you.
