@ bold- did it happen differently in the Tamil version?
It is just the same except the villagers actually kind of forced vikram ( virat ) to marry when he was leaving to Chennai ( Nagpur) after the suicide track. Even saranya ( sayi ) was forced by banu ma ( usha mausi) .
