I know a lot of people will hate me for saying this but honestly speaking, I don't Aakesh's character to be white washed by giving a reason to kill Hriday other than wanting Nageswari. It would be a good twist to show that hriday had alternate motive but it shouldn't be the reason Aakesh killed him.
Aakesh's white spot was his obsessive love for Nageshwari. A villain could be completely darkened but they all have a back point. A point that turns them around which gives them a leverage as a character. Darth Vader was an amazing villain. Powerful, scheming and dangerous but his leverage point was his love for Padme. That made him a character rather than just a thing for hero to seem all goody two shoes. Voldemort generally gave zero damn about who lived and who died but he, in the battle of department of mysteries, grabbed Bellatrix before leaving. (Not adding romance to them. Voldemort isn't capable of that) He had a certain leverage as a character. He knew to gather his most powerful lieutanant. What turned him around from being a boy was what happened to his mother.
I want Aakesh to be as he is. I don't want to be shown that Aakesh killed Hriday to save Nageshwari because that is what I built the character on. His obsession would be capable of making him do the worst of things. He wasn't killed by Nageshwari, he simply let go off his life because she wanted to see him fall to his death. He was a cheel he could fly instantly but he didn't. I don't want that pagalpan to be justified. He was a villain back then and I want it to be that way. I also think that even Hriday wanted to hurt Nageshwari.
