Right now, even when she doesn't know what pati-patni rishta actually means, she knows he is pati. And she will grow up with this thing in her mind. She will very naturally adapt to their relationship but he will struggle because he tried to lable their relationship in different zones.

Plus, the way they are mentioned MK Gandhiji here and there confirms this too. Because in his Autobiography, Gandhiji has acknowledged having lust feeling for his young bride Kasturba Gandhi. He felt guilty about it later on. And then he went to London for his studies for barristery.

Obviously, Ani ko aisa nahi dikhayege makers. TV show hai ye. Par I am 100% sure they will show him attracted and attached towards Bondita. Once he realises this, he will start feeling guilty about it and he will sent her to London.
