My mom stayed at her in-laws and while dad was working in mumbai,her parents visited her only during festives and dad wrote letter once a month..I think many people in 80-early 90s can relate

Sometimes feel they are overdoing,but everyone is different,gabi held her tears while she wished her mom and anitha cried when she heard "kanukutty'ah ketadha solunga"

Same with my parents too . I grew up in a big joint family so house is always like BB and my paatti is Bigboss . I still remember how my mom and thithi used to complain about my paatti . She was very strict bb . Btw I don’t remember my mom crying being away from my dad and viceversa . I think it was kind of normal back then . Now we have nuclear families it is really hard . I miss celebrating Diwali with my family . In joint families Diwali bhakshanam prep starts 5 days before Diwali . One of my jobs used to be to deliver palagaaram to pakkathu veetu maama and maami’s . We had a Christian and Muslim neighbors too . I always make sure I was very generous toward them since I wanted Christmas cake and bai veetu biryani . our family is strictly vegetarian so I mostly ate those biryani without my parents knowledge . I used to feel so guilty so just ate the rice and half heatedly threw away chicken . This continued till ( let us not go there )Now I’m older I have become vegetarian but I never restrict my kids from eating food they want . I miss the smell of freshly cooked biryani .
Nothing can beat thiruttu biryani taste

Me n my baby haven't met my hubby since Feb due to corona....

Baby1st birthday ku when he was not able to come to India n as I was also not able to travel with baby due to restrictions was the only time I cried....

These contestants are overdoing everything...

I know many people who are not able meet their loved ones in this pandemic.....
