I thought markat was some kind of God like creature for cheels , who has some grand plan for the cheels and naags in kaliyug, balancing the good and evil, but today it was shown like some 'killvish' type villain character ... Surely it is not the 'devta ' of cheels, instead some dark magic devta or even worse a cheap third rate villain

I knew that Markat was a devil because Shukla referred to her as 'Markat Shaitan' earlier. I don't have any problem with that. The makers are showing Markat as a devil because shape-shifting eagles are evil creatures (excluding Veeranshu). But they shouldn't have changed Markat's gender suddenly 🥱.

I would like to disagree here that shape shifting eagles are evil.... Not all....n not just veeranshu... They are predators, what are they supposed to be? .. Just like not all naags are good and not all human are good.. N that's one reason why the makers are failing in narration... I mean it's not pure devtas and asuras story, even there are asuras in devtas n devtas in asuras...
