OS Contest *Results up* Link on Pg 7 - Page 2

Loved all the entries 👏 My vote goes to entry #5 😳 Thank you Stuti for organizing this, and wishing a safe and happy Diwali to those celebrating!

Okay, so this was a lot of fun!

I couldn't resist sneaking a look once I saw what the themes for the contest were. I am a HUGE fan of horror and all things creepy 😆 But now I'm supposed to pick just two from all these amazing entires? But- but they are all so good! :O Oh well, I guess I should be grateful I have the luxury of two choices. Anyhoo, here we go -

1) Entry #7 : Koi Hai!

Why: LOVED the spook factor in this one. Late night detours, haunted resort in the middle of nowhere, musty smells, and a half-eaten fake Arnavji - it has it all. Whoever's written this, if you're reading my comment, I would love to read a full-length horror FF/SS from you. Half-rotten Arnavjis just happen to be my area of interest.

2) Entry #3 : Latency of the Night

Why: Again, loved the spooky element. I find sleep paralysis in itself pretty horrifying (and happen to know someone who suffers from it), so this one had my interest even before the ghost element was introduced. Also, it is beautifully written. It creates a very haunting atmosphere that sets just the right mood for what is to follow. Special mention to the line- "The memory crashes down like a flimsy deck of cards, waiting to be revealed." Arnavji dies again. Am I a sadist or am I a sadist? 😆

Special Mention (I know this bears no relevance to the voting but this is for my personal satisfaction):

Entry #6: The Haunted Television

Honestly this one is so cute, and funny, and very well written. Also has the ArHi element of nok-jhok incorporated so well. I wish I had three choices with me, and I could vote for this one too. The only reason I'm letting go of it is because of my personal bias towards horror.

As is obvious, I'm taking this contest super seriously 😆 Very excited for the results. And a loud shout-out to Stuti for making the efforts to organize this. You've done an awesome job at it. Thank you!

Haha! I can understand, it's really difficult to choose. Glad that I'm not the one having to vote here 😆.

I thought up a few options for how to go about with voting, but eventually decided to limit it to 2. I guess 3 would get too much when total entries are only 7.

All 7 have been lovely reads; it's so difficult to choose. I've managed to narrow it down to 3... I think! Will be back with my selection :)

Alright, exams kept me away from participating in this contest but I would surely vote for my favourites.

I had fun reading all the stories.

Since we can vote for only 2, my vote goes to

1. Entry 6 - Loved the cute Khushi and the naughty Arnav.

2. Entry 7 - Wow this story surely spooked me out. Also want to ask the writer, what happened next and who was that?

Honorable mention - Entry 3

Always have read love stories between Arnav and Khushi, never imagined Khushi as a ghost which might haunt Arnav. It did remind me of the movie "Stree", maybe Khushi wanted pure love and respect and her ghost was looking for it.
