'Wish Me Luck'- Preity Zinta

After Shah Rukh made Saurav Ganguly and co wear golden ties at the launch of his team's (Kolkata Knightriders) mascot, it was Preity's turn to make her young lads which included Yuvi and Sreesanth to dance!

On the eve of the logo launch of King's XI Punjab (Preity Zinta's IPL team)in Mohali, amidst the hustle and bustle of the launch, we managed to speak to the actress on the phone!

"I am at the PCA (Punjab Cricket Association) Stadium, Punjab to launch my team's logo", said an excited Preity! We asked Preity as to how her team had shaped up and the lady with a cherubic smiled giggled, 'King's XI Punjab' is a wonderful blend of youth and experience. Our's is the youngest team with a core group of all-rounders. We've named it Kings XI Punjab as it epitomizes the spirit of Punjab – lion-hearted, spirited, passionate, hospitable, entertaining and brave."

So is the team promoting Cricket at the grass root level as Preity had claimed? "Team Mohali will create and promote community centric activities like the Golden Ticket initiative, Scholarships, Cricket Clinics, and Academies which will be announced shortly. We believe in nurturing talent at the grassroots level and are committed to developing the game of cricket especially in the Punjab region besides we have kept the ticket prices for all Mohali games would be starting as low as Rs.50/-, making it feasible for everyone in Punjab to watch their team in action."

So which teams would enter the final we asked a final quick question to Preity, "I am expecting a Kolkata-Punjab final. All the teams are powerful it's just that since Shah Rukh and I are film stars our teams are getting more attention. Our captain Yuvraj Singh is in tremendous form and I am quite confident. Our first match is on April 19th and we will be facing Chennai, so wish us luck!" signed off Preity.
