I feel he's not reluctant to share his past, he just wants to forget about it. Riddhima did try to tell him about her past twice but he didn't let her do that. I personally feel she should have told him by moving out of her comfort zone or by any other way coz her past is not just a past but a kind of betrayal mixed with it too

And the main reason for Vansh's mistrust earlier (painting, black glove, yellow glove)bcos he was suspecting her to be a spy. So a person like him who even suspects some members in a family will not easily believe someone plus he had nearly caught her red handed most of times but she escaped as there was no proof!

AP was a person he trust so much but now if u see the dynamics have changed during Navratri he confronted her infront of everyone for portrait burning not in private n then post Garba too he warned her n the rest of the witches to stay away from Ridz.
