Prologue:

Mrs. Bhumi Rawte started cleaning every corner of the house. She instructed her maid to keep Arjun's room spotless. She already prepared all the snacks for her son. He is coming after 5 years. She wants to live all the lost 5 years with him.

Bhumi - Kanta, Arjun ki room mein aaj naye parde laga dena.

Kanta cheekily smiled and nodded. She is working in their home for many years and has never seen her so happy. She continued with her chores. Mrs. Rawte's phone rang. Her smile widened at the appeared name.

Bhumi - Aisha!

Aisha - Kya baat hai mamma!! Teri khushi ki awaaz yaha tak aarahi hai.

Bhumi - Kyun nahi kush rahungi. Mera beta wapass aaraha hai.

Aisha - uske aane tak thodi khushi sambal ke rakho.

Bhumi - Teekhe. Teekhe. Tum log time se usse lene pahonch jaana.

Aisha - Ha mamma, tum tension matt lo, hum time se chale jayenge.

Aisha disconnected the call and looked around. Saanvi is busy drawing crayons on the wall, while Sameer is multi-tasking with phone and breakfast. She hit her head and ran to Saanvi. She snatched crayons from her hand and took her to the island table in the kitchen. She made her sit on the chair and started pleating her hair.

Sameer - Mummyji kya bol rahe te?

Aisha - Arjun aa raha hai na. usse pick karne ki baare mein pooch rahi thi.

Sameer - Mummyji tension kyun le rahi hai. Unke damaad hai na.

Aisha (chuckled) - Ussi cheez ka tension hai.

Sameer stared at her. Aisha laughed.

Aisha - Teekhe abhi nikle? Isse play-school mein drop kar ke, humein office jaana hai.

Sameer - tum dono ki daeri hai.

She looked from top to bottom. Sameer is in his shorts and t-shirt with a ladle in his hands. He followed her stare.

Sameer - Accha teekhe, do min mein taiyaar hoke aajata hoon.

He ran inside. Aisha prepared Saanvi's bag and her bag. They rushed down and settled in the car.

Car:

Sameer driving through bustling traffic looked at worried Aisha.

Sameer - Tu itni pareshan kyun hai?

Aisha - Arjun aa raha hai na..

Sameer - Tujhe abhi pata chala?

Aisha - Shut up sam. Listen.

Sameer - bolo.

Aisha - Woh Sakshi ke baare mein poochega toh hum kya bolenge?

Sameer drove silently for some time. Aisha is worried for a reason.

Sameer - Pata nahi Aisha. Usse bahot dheere se batana padega. Usse yaha settle hone do. Uske baad batayenge.

Aisha - Tab tak woh rukhega?

Sameer - Rokhna padega.

Part 1:

Arjun's excitement is visible in his jumping feet and shining eyes. There is a cheeky smile plastered on his face, which denied to fade. He made his way through the passenger crowd to reach the immigration counter first. Although there were only 5 people ahead of him, he even cursed the delay of 10 min. After immigration, he fidgeted at the baggage claim belt. Watching the arrival of baggage on the belt, his face lit like a small kid seeing his gift on the table. He snatched it and rushed out. It didn't take him much time to identify Aisha and Sameer among the other welcoming crowd, taxi drivers, and placards behind the steels bars. Leaving the trolley to slide on its wheels down the slight slope with a push, he ran to his elder sister and best friend.

Arjun - Aisha...Sameer..

He hugged them tightly. Aisha and Sameer reciprocated the same. He lived the warmth of family after 5 years. Aisha breaking the hug, looked him from top to bottom. His brother is looking adorable in slightly torn jeans and a white t-shirt paired with a denim jacket.

Aisha - Tu mota hogaya hai..

Arjun - Besharam. Aisa kaun bolta hai? Itne din baad chota bhai aaya hai, aisa nahi ki khairiyat poocho, thoda gale wale laga kar kaho ki patla hogaya. Waise bhi jacket ki wajah se mota lag raha hoon.

Aisha - Jo sach hai wahi bataya mein ne.

Sameer - Tum log yahi se shuru matt hojao. Waise bhi itna bann tan ke denims mein aya hai ye prove karne ki london se wapass aaraha hai, aise kaise tu mota bula rahi hai.

Aisha Sameer laughed as Arjun gazed.

Arjun - Dono pati-patni milke mere mazaak udda rahe ho na. Teekhe, mein abhi flight leke wapass chala jaat ahoon.

Sameer - Drama kyun kar raha hai tu. Chal ghar chale.

Arjun chortled. Sameer held the handle of the trolley and the three walked back to the car.

Arjun - Sakshi nahi aayi?

Aisha and Sameer looked at each other.

Arjun - Kyun nahi aayi? Calls or messages ka bhi reply nahi karti. Milne do batata hoon.

Arjun complained, but Aisha and Sameer stayed silent. Arjun in a chirped tone turned to them.

Arjun - Abhi raste mein usse milte chale.

Sameer - Arjun, tu abhi abhi aaya hai. Mumbai ka traffic pata hai na. Abhi ghar chalte hai, kal mil lo.

Sameer diverted and Aisha continued the conversation. Yet, Arjun's thoughts are still stuck with Sakshi. He still wondered about her absence. His mind travelled to the last day of them together. The last glimpse of her as a bride appeared infront of his eyes. Her smile, golden glow on face, cladded in red saree she was the best bride of century.

Flashback:

Surrounded by people, she sat on the chair getting ready for her big day. Giggles and chatter filled the room. Her red saree is embroidered in golden thread with embellishments. Her kajal dazzaled eyes, delicate petal lips, shell like ears adored huge jhumkas. One of the ladies turned to the door and saw Arjun stand and admire her.

Aunty - Tum yaha kya kar rahe ho?

Arjun - Sakshi se milne aaya tha.

Sakshi turned around.

Sakshi - Arjun!!

She stood up and ran to him.

Sakshi - Mujhe laga tu nahi aayega. Thank god. Kaise lag rahi hoon?

Arjun - thank god. At least aaj acchi lag rahi ho.

Sakshi smacked on his hand.

Sakshi - Tu kab nikal raha hai?

Arjun - kal subha. Teri shaadi dekhe he jaunga.

Sakshi - Good. Nahi toh maar deti.

Sakshi's Mom - Tum dono yaha baatein kar rahe ho. Sakshi daer ho rahi hai. Tu jaldi taiyar hoke neeche aaja. (Turning to Arjun) aur tum neeche jao. Sameer tujhe neeche doond raha hai.

Sakshi's mom took her inside. Arjun watched her go, stood their for sometime, observed her reflection capturing every moment in him. He turned to leave. That was their last conversation.

Flashback Ends

Sitting in car he remembered her walking into the marriage dias and sitting beside groom. She smiled at the groom and obediently followed all the pooja procedures instructed by priest. She tried to overcome her tensed thoughts with a smile and blush. He smiled remembering her smile. After the marriage cermony, seeing her as bride and someone elses wife for the last time he left from there.

Aisha - Mumbai ki traffic mein itni kush kisi ko nahi dekha?

Arjun breaking his chain of thoughts looked at her.

Arjun - Bahot din hogaya aisi traffic ko dekh kar. Waise Saanvi ko kaha chod ke aagayi?

Sameer - Mummyji ke pass hai. Tera welcome preperations chal rahe hai.

Arjun - aaj pata chala log out of country kyun chale jate hai.

Aisha - kyun?

Arjun - wapass aake jitna importance milta hai, woh yaha rehke thodi milta hai.

Aisha - very funny.

Sameer, Aisha and Arjun continued their conversation through out the journey. They re-lived old times and remembered old memories.
