I thought Sumbul would be automatically divorced, surely the marriage is annulled if Sami doesn’t even acknowledge her as his wife? Otherwise the plot is a bit messy if she’s still married to him and he’s seeing Faizans sister?

That's not how marriage can be annulled.. she is still in his nikaah after all.. it can't end till he divorces her or she takes Khulla.. unless of course they later show that the nikah naama, and kazi were fake

Thanks. Oh I see... so that’s why it’s called Dulhan! she’s a bride in name without any of the rights of a bride...😭

How awful for her.

The guy in question is acting like he’s unmarried, totally immature, chatting up his cousins sister, doesn’t he have any morals at all? Does Sumbul accept and act like she’s still married to him? Does his family know he got married and then dumped her on the wedding night? Don’t they rebuke him for his god-awful behaviour?

And more importantly... does anyone know anywhere I can watch with eng subs?? 😆

Ok so I’m writing up a summary for others like me, who have trouble without English subtitles.

Episode 5 (first part)

Amal (Sumbul) is chatting with her friend about what happened to her, and the friend tells her that she should go to the police. Amal feels there’s no point, and is worried Shahmeer (Faizan) might be even be dead because of her.

That night she has a scary nightmare that Shahmeer is alive and chases her until she’s backed against a car, he’s about to kill/rape her when she suddenly wakes up screaming.

Her stepmother rushes in and instead of consoling Amal, shouts at her for making a noise, blaming her for the neighbours gossip and blaming her for the family’s disrepute.

Later Amal goes to university where she tells a friend that she’s going to quit. Her friend gives her sympathy as she knows her father died, she advices Amal to ask for help with fees as she’s one of the brightest students there. As Amal goes towards the door, she catches a glimpse of Shahmeer. She realises not only is he alive, he has seen her and is staring at her with quiet rage.

Amal is terrified and runs away hiding herself in the ladies restroom. Shahmeer follows her and after some girls leave, has no shame in going right inside.

He pushes the doors of the cubicles one by one, thereby terrifying Amal into standing on the seat in one of them and quivering in silence. Shahmeer says aloud he knows she’s there and scares her saying he will wait for her outside. She manages to escape later on in a taxi.

Meanwhile Mikaal (Sami) is flirting with a girl when his fiancé Anny (Shahmeers sister so also his cousin) walks in and jealously rebukes her for talking to him. He on the other hand gets cross with Anny and tells her to apologise to the girl he was chatting to.

Anny goes to her Mum and complains that she doesn’t want to marry him as he’s a flirt and always roaming around with other women. The mother immorally advices her brat daughter to ignore it and let him as it will be okay once they’re married, she says men are stubborn and to let him do what he wants and that Mikaal might slip away from her if she’s not careful.

Amal is working at the boutique when Shahmeer enters and she shudders in fright when she turns around sees him. He intimidates her and she backs into a corner and tells him to go away or else she’ll scream. He tells her to go ahead and that he’s not scared. Her friend comes to help and he finally leaves. Amal shakily tells her that’s the devil that tried to assault her on her wedding night.

Sorry for the long post and mistakes in understanding. Second part of update coming up later unless someone else can kindly do it. 😳

I watched the ep in FF mood. As I am yet to worm to any of the characters in this serial. However Faizan (Shahmeer) is doing amazing job. I never saw him in a negative role before. Sami is doing gr8 too. But I see him as more negative than Shahmeer because he tricked the girl , married her only to send her to dogs.😡 He is the root of the whole problem.😈

Sumbul is an overacting ki dukaan. I couldn't feel for Amal because of all that fake crying, fear , shudduring. She is very irritating.🤢

Thanks awida, yes I agree with above @bold. I still don’t know why Amal is such a weak girl, maybe it’s the years of being suppressed by her stepmother that’s made her like this. I guess she depended on her father a great deal for emotional support but now he’s gone. 😭

Episode 5 (second part)

Amal makes breakfast for the younger siblings but they don’t want it. They ask her for money to buy breakfast from outside. Amal says she can make other food for them, but they persist so she looks sad that they don’t understand the money problems they’re having but she still reaches into her purse and takes out whatever’s left of her hard earned cash.

In the meantime a lazy spoilt Mikaal is woken up and told by his mother that he should start going to the office. It turns out when her father died she gave her part of the business to her brother (Shahmeers and Anny’s Dad) but she now wants Mikaal to work in the office so that they should still have their hand in the business. He tells her she shouldn’t have given everything to his uncle, but she replies that she trusts her brother. Mikaal thinks to himself that this is the reason they’re all so keen on him marrying Anny.

Amal is delaying going to the boutique as she’s scared she might be stalked again by Shahmeer, so instead does some housework but her stepmother finds her and is cross that she’s still at home. She fails to notice that Amal is worried and pale, instead she is cold towards her and shouts at her saying if she’s late to work she’ll get a pay cut.

Sadly Amal goes into her room, closes the door behind her, crouches down and cries. She silently prays to God to help her, she feels trapped and depressed. On one side there’s her step family who don’t care for her, mistreating and taking advantage of her, and then there’s the creep Shahmeer and she’s scared to go to the boutique because he knows she works there.

She phones her friend and says she can’t come to work and that she’s had enough and wants to commit suicide. She can’t cope anymore and cries and says why did my dad leave me and that she misses him a lot. Her friend tells her softly to have courage and eventually makes her smile.

Her stepmother who was eavesdropping has heard Amal from the window talking about suicide and suddenly is concerned and fake cares for her telling her to rest at home and that she’ll get her tea.

Noshaba (the stepsister) wonders what’s made her Mum have a sudden change of heart but then understands when she explains that if Amal dies there won’t be anyone earning for the family, and so they have to do this drama so that they don’t starve.

Amal decides she wants to go to work after all and ignores her stepmothers sweet talk, who fake insists that she would also work if only she could. The ungrateful stepmother then talks to herself blaming her husband for never giving her peace, whether he’s alive or dead.

Mikaal is driving the sports car when another friend stops and chats to him. He says Shahmeer wants his car back and then says he is always following that girl (Amal) and how sad it is that because of her the two cousins aren’t friends. Mikaal says the car is not a gift and that he won it in a bet.

Amal passes in a taxi and sees them.

She later tells her friend at the boutique she saw Mikaal. Her friend hopes he apologised for his shameful behaviour.

Amal says those type of people can’t be forgiven even if they apologise and that he should be punished so much that any boy thinking of doing anything similar wouldn’t dare do it. But she says she knows that she can’t do anything about it and wonders how many more rich brats like Mikaal are in the society. Her friend tells her she’ll pray for her.

I read a Wattpad story where the brother in law sold his wife's sister. The wife never forgive him, ever. She complained to police n got him arrested. Hope more women become strong n don't get manipulated by emotional blackmails.

Wattpad story? You mean not in real life ,, na? 😲 Coz I can't imagine such things happen in real life.😒 It is horrifying to see girls in such situations. Relationships like : marriage are sacred . Taking them lightly is a big sin. What Sami's char did in this drama is unforgivable.

I hope in the end he redeemed himself by dying to save Amal. this is the only suitable ending for him if he redeems himself, warna I want to see him put in jail till the end of his life.😈

It’s a wattpad story. I know such things happen I. Real life but by god’s grace never met such a person.
