Hello everyone, I am trying to write something on Rudhita. This is just a prologue to brief you about the main theme about my story.
...............................................................................................................................................................................
It was the day of Durga pooja, where everyone had dressed up to celebrate the auspicious day of Maa. The Roy Chaudhary family being the family of zamindars had held the pooja at there place. All the relatives, friends and family members were present there. Kaka was looking after the samagri for the pooja that was needed. Bihari, Kolie didi and all other workers were running here-and-there to check all the arrangements. Binoy was busy with his other industrialist friends, whereas Batuk and Somnath were attending the guest and friends. Everyone was present except for two people. Kaka was going all around the house to search for Bondita and Anirudh, but couldn't find either anywhere. He found Bihari on the way, so went and inquired him about the two.
"Bihari, Anirudh aur bahu kaha hai?" he asked, a little loud.
"Malik, Barrister babu apne kitabon wale kamre mein hai aur choti malkin apne kamre mein hai. Bade Malik, bahurani ji badi udaas lag rahi thi" Bihari answered very softly. Kaka was a little worried by this news. He wondered why Bondita was upset? Instead of just coming onto a conclusion, he walked upstairs to Bondita's room. The door was open, and Bondita sat there on the bed, all dull and gloomy. Her eyes were swollen and red. She looked pale, sick and hurt. His heart ached to see her like that. Composing himself, he called out her name, "Bondita Bhau". The moment she heard Kaka-saurji, she got up and went near him. She bent down and took his blessings on this auspicious day. The lateral blessed the eleven-year-old child, with an affectionate smile.
"Bahu, hum jante hai ki tumahri man mein bohot prashan hai. Aur kahi na kahi wo sabhi prashan mere man mein bhi hai. Lekin aaj Duga maa ka din hai bahu, kya wo khush rahegi agar tum itni udaas rahogi? Chalo ansu pocho apne aur nayi nayi saree pehenkar aao, pooja ka samay ho raha hai Kaka spoke softly, in an attempt to get her mood back to the chirpy and cheering, which was missing since yesterday. Bondita nodded a yes to whatever he said, and went inside to get ready. Kaka was waiting outside for her when Anirudh comes there to check on bondita. Kaka saw him and, by his facial expressions, he understood that why was he here.
"Bahu tayyar ho rahi hai, mein usse nicche leke aunga. Anirudh ye kya tumne? Meine kaha tha dur raho saudamini se, dekho aaj ek galat kadam aur hamari bahu ka kya haal hogaya? Wo bacchi hai, usse zayada khuch samaj nahi aya hoga, lekin uske man ke prashano ka jawab kaise doge tum? Aree humare ghar ki laxmi aaj udaas hai, tu khuch shubh hosakta hai. Anarth hua tumse Anirudh, anrath. Anirudh couldn't stop his tears, and he let them flow. It's supposed to be a happy day for bondita, but she was gloomy. She was sad, all because of his one mistake. He had broken her trust, the trust of him never cheating her. Anirudh just closed his eyes in pain, remembering the day that changed his and her life forever. The day of festival turned out to be a day when her trust on him broke.
