that they are husband wife so if he gets free with bon like he is with mini, people will misunderstand his intentions although not in a wrong way but still he doesn't want that. not only for people but also for him, as an upright person, he always tries to act in a way which will satisfy his conscience.

he is too conscious of bon's age and her being his wife actually.

Yeah you are right.. actually if it's any bachha instead of bonu, he wouldn't hesitate to wake him/her up.. but deep inside he himself knows bonu is his wife.. so he's maintaining a distance... I still remember that scene from bed wetting track.. Ani was moving forward to wake bonu up.. then stopped in the midway.. I found that scene so simple yet so subtle..❤️
