Narcotics Control Bureau director general Rakesh Asthana returned to the national capital Delhi on Friday after a quiet visit to Mumbai to review investigations by the federal agency in the drugs trafficking case launched after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death in June this year, people familiar with the matter said.

Asthana’s overnight visit to Mumbai comes ahead of a crackdown being planned by the NCB that is expected to target celebrities in Bollywood and the drug suppliers. “You can expect some action in the next two weeks,” a senior NCB official told Hindustan Times, declining to reveal details at this stage.

The NCB has already arrested more than 20 people in this case including actor Rhea Chakraborty who was released on bail earlier this month after spending nearly a month behind bars. Her brother is still in jail after the Mumbai high court, which set her free, ruled that Showik appeared to be “an important link in the chain of drug dealers”.

First Papa tried to get CBI to save beta Arnab from the TRP scam. When Maharashtra blocked that this is Papa's way of getting revenge. Its all good, Bollywood kurbani de dega...as long as Goswami ends up behind bars.

With Arjun Rampal's BIL arrested, More Bollywood A listers links will be out. Good Progress, Whole Nexus will be exposed.Showik seems to be active member of Racket with links to Peddlers , Rhea madam is still on bail , won't be long when she will be back when more evidence with her family links with Nexus.

Hoping this would put dent in open Drug Cartel business which benefits D Gang against anti india activities. Lock them up !

This is bull crap, if they wanted to really "crack" down on drugs they would go to the source, the big suppliers then down the distribution chain, ending with the street runners and the back alley junkies. BUT they do not want to go to the dirty streets to deal with that element and messing around with the big Boys would be detrimental to their health as well as the public would be in shock when they learn who is the head of the huge trade. So they are going to mess around with Bollywood, because those people are soft targets, who have to guard their image, their houses are nice and luxurious and there is absolutely no danger because actors and actresses will not retaliate and the bonus is that the agency will get to be on tv and the politicos will use all of it to claim "we are fighting crime" in the next elections. After they mess up and ruin some lives for ever (too bad that is the cost of putting up a large scale charade) things will go back to normal and the big supplier will continue operations and the agencies will continue to be corrupt, getting their cut and enjoying tea with the big boys, the street junkies will still be there with their miserable lives in tatters as their families watch and blame Bollywood, just the middle class citizen will feel the discomfort, because they are lied to and manipulated, while they are squeezed from all sides politically, financially and criminally while things settle down and go back to what is known as "the norm".......until the next elections...that is.

P.S. By the way. Does anyone know if the children who live along the current Indian-Chinese border have started their bilingual lessons yet? It will be of much benefit to them to get going because I hear Chinese is not so easy to learn.....

If NCB wants to do crackdown they should start from Indian borders along Pakistan. Most of the drugs are brought from there. They should stop the illegal cultivation of narcotics plants along the hills.

People who are addicts should be sent to a de addiction center and should be relieved until they are de-addicted.
