To say I’m disappointed is an understatement especially since last season.

I started watching this show since season 4 cause Salman was hosting. Now I’ve stopped watching even weekend episodes.

I also started watching from season 4 but lost interest now. Too much shouting and fights in every episode

Because they have completely moved on from the basic concept of the show. The basic concept of the show is 10/15 relatively unknown people locked in an house and following the orders of a voice which rules over them.

Now its nothing like that. people didn't even have paper in earlier seasons. There was 0 outside interactions.

I will mention some memorable moments from each season from memory.

People were so disconnected from outside that Amit Sadh had a nervous breakdown receiving his GF's letter in season 1. Ravi kishan's fav dialogue became a life style for people.

In season 2 Rahul Mahajan and his friends walked out of the house climbing walls and it became national news for a week.

In season 3 Krk was eliminated because he threw a bottle and rebounded and hit shamita.

Pravesh rana was punished for throwing food in the pool. Now there is whole new task to waste food.

Season 4 was great with Samir Soni and Shweta mind game. Khali and Rahul bromance. Also how can people forget Dolly Bindra.

Season 5 Juhi won simply by making parathas. There was aakash and his taunts. Mahek and sid . someone was eliminated for a push i remember.

Season 6, was one of the best. (Specially for me and people who were here know it :) ) The most intellectual season ever. Urvashi was brilliant in gameplay. Imam and his antics. doing everything without violence. Niketan didn't win simply because he touched Imam an episode before finale even though he played a flawless game.

Season 7: THe problem started here. Sallu in his biasness to tanisha destroyed a game. Gauhar took advantage of the situation and people rallied with her against sallu. But the seeds of biasness and PR/Manipulations were showed here.

Season 8 : Tanna v gautam. Sona and her eccentric 'Kantala' personality.

Seaon 9: Prince and his shenanigans bordering on sleaziness. Rishabh and his stunning and witty responses. Mandana became extremely abusive and BB ignored it.

The famous rajneeti task is gone. In season 10, BB gave garlands to people to garland thier fav captaincy contenders and those with most will win. Naveen who was supporting Manu made short garlands from whatever he has because he had least numbers.

After season 11 For once i thought normal mind games and shouting BB with very less physical interaction is back. Vikas won 20+ tasks with mindgame mostly. He was in the jail and controlled the whole house. That Money task which he did if done by someone in earlier season's would have been the stuff od legends in BB history everywhere not just in india. But it didn't get much mention because the environment of that season was such that such brilliance was ignored.

S12 and 13: Not worth mentioning.

Also now there is somehow just countless versions of torture/physical task. The intellectual aspect is gone.

Well over the time BB has lost its credibility and now with the channels influence, there will come a day when they might have to shut it down because people will be fed up of their scripted reality show and baisedness.

Anyway, I really like your post and most of the replies in it. Feels Good to discuss this stuff.

I don’t get it too. Are only gundas and gundis considered “good enough” for the show now?

I still remember so many contestants were praised for their mind skills, their real-ness and bad behaviour was actually reprimanded and publicly shamed so that bullying is not repeated again but now it’s like, if you don’t behave like a big bad bully manchild then you are boring and don’t deserve to stay in the house. Audiences actually consider intelligent people who like trivia and behave nerdy (Abhinav) as “boring” all because the beloved host says so, who himself likes to hear and crack only fart jokes

I wish we could see the magic of old seasons again but alas, it seems like a lost dream now. The TRP’s of last season were sky rocketing and that was probably the most disgusting season ever. If audiences like such stuff and are rewarding the makers by increasing TRP’s, I don’t blame the makers for sticking to the current gaali galoch and rowdy personalities 😒

You made me sooo nostalgic!!

Season 1 was crazy fun. Rakhi Sawant with her Jezzus! and Ravi Kishan with his Zindagi jhandwa would always represent the quintessential Bigg Boss contestants.. Rupali Ganguli the OG rotlu..

Season 4 was already fun with the tasks and the extremely narcissistic antiques of Veena Malik. But then OG super villain Dolly Bindra entered and completely elevated Shweta and Sameer's game.

Season 7 was very entertaining too. I loved Gau - Andy and Arman Kohli was the OG Shukla and Tanisha the OG Shukli.. Just because of Arman Kohli's bullying I rallied behind Gau. And then Sonakshi Sinha, Hiroo 'aunty' et al got involved and twitter trends and SM entered. It was so much fun.

Season 11 was too much fun too.. All of the contestants had something to contribute. The VG-SS rivalry was one track, and then Hina, Dadlaani, and Arshi had their own tracks. It was hilarious that season. So entertaining. And yes, vikas actually was mastermind, kaise Dhinchak Pooja ko behla fusla ke andar bhej diya!

It's the contestants basically, sometimes they click and sometimes it's just forced. But yes, I too miss the mind games and the interactions and the true friendships and enmities.. This fights and task rad karwana leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
