Looks like MI will win today

Yesterday's game, I thought that after the fall of Narine, they should have skipped Nitesh Rana and brought in Eoin Morgan instead, so that he could have settled in then, as opposed to the middle overs. And had Russell follow Karthik. Also, going forward, KKR should open w/ Rahul Tripathi instead of Shubman Gill, and make Gill bat at the back end.

Yesterday Russell fell, and today, AB. Easy wins for MI and KXIP

For teams like DD , KXIP and RCB , if they want to win IPL trophy they probably have to beat MI and CSK.

If they can't beat them then they can't win the trophy .

Looks like KXIP going to lose this match too .

Karthik handing over the leadership to Morgan a bad call IMO. It forces Morgan's selection for the remaining matches, when I'd prefer to keep Banton and drop Morgan. I liked the selection of Chris Green, since if Narine returns, it's a straight swap. Also, I'd drop Shubman Gill down the order, to a finisher's role.

I'd have had this order

Tom Banton

Dinesh Karthik

Nitish Rana

Andre Russell

Shubman Gill

Pat Cummins

Prasidh Krishna

Shivam Mavi

C Varun

Chris Green/Sunil Narine

Since Morgan is now the captain, I'd have Karthik open w/ Tripathi, then Morgan, then Rana, and then Russell and the rest of my above lineup

Surprising to see little to no discussion on IPL. There used to be thread's discussing it few years back.

Lol no Russell is not performing and Gill is not able to bat with higher strike rate so that Batting order will crumble .

Morgan is one of the best finisher in the world right now also KKR bought him for the sake of captaincy coz they knew Dinesh Karthik won't be able to hold captaincy for too long .

So my KKR line UP would be

Gill

Russell

Rana

Karthik

Morgan

Tripathi

Narine

Lockie Ferguson

Mavi

Krishna

Varun C

I think sending Russell in opening would be a good option . He is not in good form and KKR needs a brisk start which they are laging in this IPL . With two players outside the circle it gives chance for Russell to make some runs and be back in form . He will utilise the maximum power play . Getting 60-70 runs in power play specially you are seeing teams defending 160+ scores mostly this time in IPL .

Also KKR seems to be lucky this season . They got out of jail against CSK ,KXIP and now SRH . That's 3 matches win from the jaws of defeat (SRH were 58/0 in 6 and we're cruising , KXIP needed 21 from 18 balls yet they lost , CSK needed some 60 runs from 9 overs yet they lost ) .

I think the top four teams are final now until and unless KXIP does something extraordinary coz they are the only team looking in form right now among the bottom 4.

Yup! Fantastic game! Played a major role in ruining my already deformed sleep schedule😆

Glad KXIP pulled off the win. Really wished Mumbai gets floored lol.

Yet another loss for CSK😔 There's no second thought over the fact the they've been the worst performers this year. Everything seems wrong in the team. Batsman lacking intent, bowlers leaking runs at crucial junctures, below average fielding, lack of good replacements, backing of wrong players... Oh dear, too bad. Playoffs is nowhere in the horizon now, hope they can grab a few izzat bachaane waale victories in the coming games!
