It's that time of the year again...

When we start making Anniversary threads...

For the Epic and Infamous

But following the trend this year, we won't have simple anniversary threads.

So here I'm with a twist 😉

What do we do when two occasions come up together -

Halloween (31st Oct) and Missed Kiss Anniversary (2nd Nov)

Well... we combine them 😃

So the OS contest will have two themes from which the writers can choose to include either one or both according to their wish.

Theme 1 :

Diwali / Missed Kiss

You have to include either of these elements in your storyline and preferably in a way that highlights or gives importance to these events.

Theme 2 :

Spooky / Gothic / Horror / Thriller

The story should be spine-tingling. Go ahead and give some scares! Usage of gothic elements like Witches, Ghosts, Jack-o-lanterns, Bats, etc is encouraged.

You can write and submit your entries via PM to me. The last date for sending in entries is 31st October after which all of them will be put up for voting round.

Winners will be decided ONLY based on the votes. There are no Judges.

Depending on the total number of entries, we may have a collective winner or separate for both themes. If we have enough entries, runner-ups will also be announced.

Writers are requested to scroll down and read the Rules before starting.

RULES for Writers Participating in OS Contest :

1. The OS should not be published anywhere (IF, Wattpad, Wordpress, FB, etc) already. Only once the contest ends, you'll be allowed to post your stories in the forum or any other platform.
2. Do NOT add the story here in this thread. You have to send them to me (ssttuuttii) by PM.
3. You are NOT allowed to inform others about which entries are yours. We want the Voting to be Unbiased and Winner/s selected based on the actual content and not the number of friends they have. Anyone caught informing others about their stories will be directly disqualified from the contest. You are allowed to spread the word by sending thread links and informing others that you have Participated... WITHOUT mentioning which exact entries are yours.
4. Maximum 2 Entries are allowed per person. They can be in any of the themes or having a combination of both themes.
5. There is no Word limit but OS should remain an OS and not turn into an SS. 😆 Shorter Drabble length entries are welcome too 😳.
6. Giving a Title to your story is encouraged but not a compulsion.
7. The story should include the elements from either of the themes AND should also have IPKKND characters! Taking scenes from the show is optional.

I've never participated in something like this so I'm so incredibly tempted 😃 I've also never written anything of the horror genre so I'm even more intrigued!!!

Hmmm... with midterm exams going on, two FFs already in line that I need to finish... do I dare?

I'm tempted tooooo.... but that would be so odd - organizer participating themselves 🤣.

The entry need not be long. Even Drabbles are welcome! I won't insist since you have midterms going on and exams should always be the priority. But if you have something in mind, you can try penning it down. There are quite some days left so maybe you will be able to manage something? 😉

And there's always the other thread Spin-a-tale where you can go and participate in free time. That one only requires you to write 2-3 sentences or so... much easier and quicker 😃

There's still time for the deadline, so you have a few days to come up with something and jot it down. And length can be short - Drabble sized too, so that shouldn't take up much time.
