This was such as interesting discussion. I have been on both sides of this. Sometimes, I just don't understand Bani's blind hatred for Veer and other times, I wanna whack Veer (but lovingly 😆) for his lack of explanations and his possessive behaviour. But then I realize there is justification for both of them.
honestly i'm at both sides constantly as well.
For Veer, I take him as his initial introduction - a grey character. I have mentioned earlier that his actions and moral compass is pretty skewed. In a real word, his actions with Bani should not be condoned at all. true true true But firstly there is that. His character itself is grey. Secondly just the way he says it, he has never felt as strongly for any woman as much as he does for Bani. He has flirted with many - something that clearly does not work here. Nobody has had as strong a hold on him as Bani does. He struggles to really express himself beyond his flirtatious, sassy ways. you're right, he does express himself in his flirtatious sassy ways constantly. Which if you think about is actually a huge part of his personality. Something that we all clearly like. we loveee but i guess if he expressed himself properly that would help, at the same time i think he tried with the mangalsutra sindoor scene and... it still didnt work because bani doesn't want to see beyond her hatred for him Now the third reason he refuses to clarify himself to Bani beyond the necessary could be because he wants Bani to accept him as he is. The 'badtameez, sanki' aadmi. Take him the way he is. Accept him and love him - unconditionally for who he is. i love the way you've put this, take him the way he is, accept him and love him unconditionally for who he is. No explanations needed. Also for his defense, he has no recollection of the past. Major disadvantage. major, we need this fixed soon.
Unfortunately for Bani. She connected with the 'good' guy first. uffff these good guys are usually the worst and jay is exactly that. That was her template for her partner. Veer goes against most of them. She saw all the possible bad traits in Veer. She thinks he killed her best friend for god's sake. That alone should make her hate him forever. true true But the CVs kinda seemed to have minimized this. Add in the baggage from the past life and the Naagin's natural enmity for Cheels - BAM! Major hatred. if you add it all in the mix and take away what we know about veer and the situation, it's easy to see why she hates him. BUT I feel like the a very big reason she behaves so bluntly and rudely with Veer is her own conflicting feelings. i didn't see it this way -- She 'KNOWS' he has done all these bad things but she STILL gets drawn towards him. She is equally lost sometimes in their moments. i feel like i never noticed all of this prior, maybe because she gets lost she feels like it's wrong and part of her wants to lash out to protect herself but we see so much hatred it's hard to think she might be even slightly battling any feelings of any sort for him that isn't hatred But Bani thinks she isn't suppose to feel these things. He is her enemy, done all these bad things as well. Plus, there is Jai. She is committed to him. He is supposed to be her janmon ka saathi - her Hriday who she died for. She should be loyal to him. i guess because he died for her, she does think she owes him and she needs to be loyal for him plus the soulmate part doesn't help the situation Her loyalty for her supposed soulmate conflicts against her subconsciously growing attraction for Veer. So she eventually takes it out on Veer. This is also prolly why she kept stubbornly refusing to herself that she can never fall for Veer in this weekend's episodes when he promises to make her wanna be with him. she was to a certain extent telling herself as well - i can't fall for him, i have to get out of this and i have to hate veer forever.
So far, both of them are using their brains. Until now, Bani also has had no reason to distrust or be suspicious of Jai actually. she hasn't, true. She's justified in her place and Veer is just Veer. I am always super pumped to watch these two together.
