Masala, slice-of-life or offbeat: The genre you prefer??

Which is your pick:

1. Masala larger-than-life films like Dabangg, Chennai Express, War

2. Slice-of-life like English Vinglish, Wake Up Sid etc.

3. Offbeat like Trapped, Death in the Gunj

Which genre is most appealing to you?

Allergic to slice of life since watching DCH

Slice of life genre is my fav. So do dooni char, TZP, Queen etc. I’d also go for #1 but without the OTT masala. So like Crazy Rich Asians, K3G etc.

Something with a plot and good acting and right pacing. I don't care what genre.

Like slice of life, offbeat. Ok with masala.

Not a fan of noir or Bollywood comedies.

I do like slightly offbeat thrillers too- like in the Andhadun space

Just like Indian food is shit without masala and tadka similarly Indian cinema is shit without masala. So called slice of life bullshit is for so called class audience.

It has to be full on entertaining. Not too fixated on the genre or even the actors.
