I don't even want to read about the details of the case anymore because my heart is hurting from the sheer brutality of the culprits and the administration.

I read that the PM has ordered to give severe punishment to the culprits. Hopefully they will do something since the PM has spoken up?

Yogi did not even comment on this. What kind of CM is he?

I relate with everyone here who are feeling the despair. I haven’t been able to wrap my head around it myself since I came to know about it yesterday and now I woke up to the news that they forcefully cremated the body without letting the family have a last glimpse even. How do one live through such things?

Even I got to know about it yesterday. This case got wide media coverage only after the girl died and there was some outrage. Even celebs have started tweeting now as they thought that they need to speak something on this.

The police and UP government tried their best to cover up, and even the culprits have been arrested just now, when the incident happened two weeks ago. Shows that it was very easy for the police to catch them but only did that after the case got national media coverage.

I think police probably didn't give the body back to the family because it was in such a bad condition, that if more people got to know how badly the victim was tortured from the mutilated body, it could've caused protests and even riots and communal violence. Now of course their intentions were surely not honest, as they have political pressure from BJP who don't want people to outrage over this case and question their government.

There's this caste angle too, which is the reason this case is not getting the same attention from the government, media and even the general public compared to Nirbhaya or Priyanka Reddy case. The liberals just don't want to accept that caste discrimination exists in India and that's why there is not much outrage.

People on this very forum are ignoring this case. You see the people who usually complain about media talking about Bollywood, drugs and Sushant all the time and ignoring other important problems in India ignored this thread. That's all because of the caste angle.

I doubt the culprits will even get punished. If they would then it won't be capital punishment for sure. They will get 10 years of jail term at best and that also after they stretch this case for 10 years in court as even the Nirbhaya rapists were hanged after 7 years because of all the court procedures.

Swara, Kangna are speaking up for their own propaganda. Surely their concern does not come from genuine place. They will forever be fake feminists.

Wow. So essentially give jobs to men so that they are not jobless enough to go out and rape women...

'Sex is a natural urge in men' well, medieval dumbf*ck, its a natural urge in women too but they don't go around gang raping men on the streets do they.

To blame unemployment for rape is so... Its proven in psychology and sociology that rape comes from the urge to show power over someone vulnerable and the regressive mindset of the patriarchal society is all about male dominance and thinking of women as lesser and as properties.

And men with jobs haven't raped anyone ever? Men with jobs rape their own wives in their own home but shhhh marital rape toh doesn't even exist.

The correlation between economic stability and rape is a thing that comes much much later. Its a psycho-social problem first because of the mindset and lack of fear of laws. Rape is a normalised part of our society because oppressing women is a normalised part of society.

Even the most educated and economically stable men can rape cause the mindset and culture relating to that mindset remains the same.

Plz tell me this is fake and photoshopped. I cannot believe anyone can be this cruel and tone deaf...... much less a judge. I’ve already lost faith in the India’s political and judicial system.
