Bengali mein use bou-bhat kehte hai aur woh toh us zamane mein hota tha sayad, i am not sure i have to check about pre british era bengali wedding rituals as i forgot.

But nowadays on bou bhat day

In the morning the hubby gives clothes n and a thali filled with different food items n says from today i am taking all the responsibilities of your as my wife.

Then in the evening a grand reception happens where all the people comes to see the new bride-groom.

but nothing like that happened here so it should happen.
