Agree kate, it's not joke to play in marriage. I can't defend his action by saying he is not aware of rituals and so on.! Atleast he knows to take responsibility rite?

Why didn't he take responsibility? Because she lied? He left her in most difficult time when she needed his support. For me marriage is a emotion , I can't see this nonsense.
