Part 16

As riddhima speaks up he was sure she was the one who plays Juliet opposite him in the university not her. He was still in his thoughts of the day when her voice brings him back to reality.

Ri:’’ You know something armaan I was so scared at that day. Pata hain kyun kyunki hum last moment par Julie bane the. Humari koi rehersal nahin thi kuch nahin vo tou thank god kyunki hum play ke writer the tou hume sari lines ati thi.’’

She said and armaan was surprised with this piece of information too. As he never knew she was the writer of the play too. Armaan looked at her and then trying to know what happen actually on that day he asked her.

Ar:’’ Kyun riddhima ap last moment par kyun bani thi Juliet? Jahan tak mujhe humari university ke rules vagarah pata hain vahan sab kuch beforehand decide hota hain.’’

Ri:’’ Yes armaaan you are right. Par actually pata nahin kya hua us din suddenly vo ladki jise Juliet banana tha Shreya han yehi nam tha uska na costume designer se jhagra ho gaya. Aur last moment par she walks out. Tou hum sab fix mein aa gaye aur Anjali ka tou ap puchiye mat. She was too tensed as a director it was her first attempt. And if that goes wrong it will hamper her goodwill and future career. And she is very dear friend of mine as she tells me to do it. Because she knew that I was stage performer in my school. So I had to do it. That’s it.’

She finished telling him that day’s event how she turned out to be Juliet, that green eye Juliet whom eyes always amazed him.

Ar (in his heart):’’ Matlab shreya tumne mujhe us din bhi jhuth bola tha. Tumne kaha tha tumhe 2 min deri ho gayi tou anjali ne tumhe last minute play se nikal diya. Matlab ki tum shuru se hi aisa sab kar rahi thi. Riddhima ko dekh kar nahin lagta hain ki vo jhuth keh rahi thi. Tou shayad main hi tha jo tumhe samajh nahin paya tha.’’

He was still in his thoughts when riddhima waved her hands in front of him

Ri:’’Kya hua armaan aap kahan kho gaye?’’

Ar:’’ Umm kuch nahin riddhima.’’

Ri:’’ Hmm acha armaan ap coffee ya kuch aur lenge?’’

Ar:’’ Umm nahin riddhima thank you.’’

Ri:’’ Chaliye fir I guess hum so jayen subh bhi nikalana hai.’’

She said to him, they don’t know what to talk with each other just formal talks. Armaan nods his head they were thinking about the sleeping arrangement when they heard the door knocks. Hearing he door knocking both of them look at each other.

Ri:’’ Is time kaun hoga? Khair hum dekhte hain.’’

Ar:’’ Nahin ap rukiye riddhima main dekhta hun.’’

He told to door and he goes to answer the door. As he opens the door he find sid and sujal standing there. Seeing them standing there he was surprised’

Ar:’’ Kya hua sid sujal tum donow is time yahan par kya kar rahe ho? Sab thek hain na?’’

Si:’’han bhai all well.’’

Hearing their voices riddhima also comes out and seeing them she too

Ri:’’ Bhai kya hua?’’

Su:’’ Kuch nahin hua hai yar actually na hum armaan ko bulane aye hain kuch boys time you know.’’

Ar:’’ Kya keh raha hain sujal?’’

Si:’’ Han bhai ab aisa chance jaldi tou milta nahin hai aj hum teenon sath hain tou lets enjoy.’’

Armaan looked at riddhima as he heard both of them.

Su:’’ Are yar riddhima ko kya dekh raha hain. I know meri behen ko koi problem nahin hogi. Hain na riddhima?’’

Ri:’’ Ji bhai mujhe kya problem hogi?”

Off course she does not have any issues, and moreover both of them are finding ways to let go of awkwardness. This is obviously going to help them.

Si:’’ Dekha bhai ab tou riddhima ko bhi koi issue nahin hain. So ap jao apne best friend ke sath.”

Ar: Main jaun matlab tu nahin aa raha boys night out ke liye?’’

He asked him as tells him to go with Sujal.

Si:’’ Are bhai aa raha hun par kya hain na mujhe bhi apni best friend ke sath 1 cup coffee ppini hain humari favourite. Jab tak main aur ri apni coffee pete hain ap log bhi apni kuch batein kar lijiye. Kyun Ri?’’

He said looking at riddhima who for sure can never deny this offer. After all he is her best friend whom she loves dearly.

Ri:’’ Han yeh bhi koi.’’

But she suddenly stopped in between realizing her current status she is married girl now. She doesn’t know if armaan will like her time spending with Sid or not. As armaan finds her stopping in between he looks at her, does she want his permission. But why? it’s her life and off course he can spends time with her friends. He was still in his thoughts when Sid breaks the silence

Si:’’ Oh ho madam ri tu bhai ki aur kya dekh rahi hain mere bhai itnein bhi purane khayalon vale nahin hain. Kyun bhai? Aur vaise bhi mera tou tere sath ab double rishta hain.’’

Ri:’’ Double rishta?’’

As he said that surprises riddhima so she asked him

Si:’’ Tu na buddhu ki buddhu hi rehne vali hain. Best friend tou tu mere thi hi ab tu meri bhabhi bhi tou hain.’’

He answered her giving her the new relationship status. That makes riddhima aware of their new relationship status.

Si:’’ So bhai I guess no issues. Aakhir riddhima meri bhabhi bhi hain tou mera bhi kuch haq hain.’’

He said in jovial tone making armaan comes out from his own thoughts. He smiled while nodding his head to him

Ar:’’ Han Sid bilkul par yeh rishta tou abhi juda hain. Is rishte se pehle tum aur riddhima dost ho aur vohi rahoge. Kyunki dosti ka rishta sabse khas hota hain. Jo hum kisi se nahin keh pate hain vo apnein dost se zarur keh dete hain. So I request don’t let this friendship fade away in this new relationship.’’

Hearing him Sid and sujal smiles off course that’s the reason he is gem of person. Sujal loves is best friend and somewhere he knows his sister will never going to hurt with him. Riddhima was surprised hearing his so meaningful words. Well technically she never thinks him of sensible person. For her he is player but maybe she is wrong she yet has to discover different sides of him. And this is start.

Si:’’ So ri ab bhai ko bhi koi problem nahin hain. Chal kitchen mein teri meri favourite coffee banane aur peene.’’

She smiled at his best friend and then she left with him giving a meaningful smile to armaan. As they left

Su:’’ Chal hum bhi chal kar ek ek game lagate hain.’’

He said and armaan smiled then both of them left for sujal’s room.

As riddhima and sid both reached to kitchen. Sid starts making the coffee as always while riddhima start whipping the cream. Their kind of coffee they always makes half- half. Seeing riddhima engrossed in the work Sid finally thought to talk with her for which he actually comes.

Si:’’ Ri.’’

Ri:’’ Han Sid bol.’’

Si:’’ Mujhe na sujal ne bataya ki teri aur bhai ki shadi kis situation mein hui hain.’’

Ri:’’ Hmm tabhie hum tujhe kuch nahin bata paye.’’

Si:’’ I can understand Ri. Sach kahun main tujhse puchunga bhi nahin ki kyun tune yeh decide kiya aise last moment par shadi karne ka bhai se. I am your best friend and I know you. Agar tune kuch decide kiya hain tou kuch soch kar hi kara hoga. Aur main tere sath hun tere is decision mein.’’

He said and riddhima has a big smile on her face, that’s her friend her best friend. Off course she has her all family with her supporting her decision but they have their own concerns for her decision but Sid just supports her. This is something she is waiting to hear from the time she takes this decision.

Ri:” Thank you sid tumhe nahin pata how much this matters to me. Pata hain humein bhi bahut doubt tha par sabko convince karte karte hum us dar ko bhaga rahein the. Par aj tumse sun kar ki tum humare sath ho vo dar finally gaya hain. Asan nahin tha humare liye decision lena, armaan se shadi ka vo bhi aise. Jab ki hum unhein bilkul bhi nahin jante. Kyunki jo hum unhein college mein jante hain us armaan ke bare mein humara opinion bilkul hi kuch aur hain. Us armaan se shadi ke bare mein hum kabhi nahin soch pate par dekho unhi se humnein shadi kar li hain. Par humare pas us samay aur koi option nahin tha aur humein yehi sabse sahi lag raha tha.’’

She said with small tears in her eyes and sid wipes her tears. He can totally understand her pain. This is not at all easy the step she takes.

Si:’’ Main samjhta hun riddhima tabhi maine kaha na jo tune kiya usmein I am with you. Tere liye asan nahin hoga aise insan se shadi karna jo pata ho kisi aur se pyar karta tha.’’

Ri:’’ Hmm chal chod ise I am happy that you are with me.’’

She said giving him a hug and sid too let go of that topic as he knows this is sensitive. How she can talk about her husband’s love interest who she herself has no clue.

Si:’’ Han par sun tera best friend honein ke qaran ek advice de raha hun. Main tujhe baki sab ya bade logon ki tarah yeh nahin kehne vala ki apnein rishte ko mauka do and all. Dekh yeh tum donow ka rishta hain tou tum donow ise better dela karoge. Main bas itna kahunga kuch bhi banane se pehle ek dusre ke friends bano. Tum ek naye armaan ko jano jo tumhara dost ho. Kyunki is se tum logon ko kam se kam hesitation nahin hogi ek dusre se.’’

He said giving her the normal advice not like elders. This advice does not make her tense as off course she can be friend with him. That’s easy.

Ri:’’ Han sid tum thek keh rahein ho. Agar hum dost ban jayenge tou humare liye ek dusre ke sath rehna bhi easy hoga.’’

She said with a smile finally she has less burden on her heart talking with her does makes her light.

Si:’’ Han par khabardar agar bhai ko apna best friend banaya tou.’’

He said jokingly

Ri:’’ Nahin humein marna hain kya vaise bhi vo jagah tumhari hain tumhari rahegi.’’

Si:’’ Good chal aa ab coffee piyen thandi ho jayegi. Aur hum donow ko hi thandi coffee pasand nahin hain na?’’

Ri:’’ Han.’’

And both of them enjoy their coffee while in sujal’s room both armaan and sujal are enjoying their favourite play station game.

Su:’’ Armaan tujhe ek bat bolun.’’

Ar:’’ Han bol na tujhe kabse puchne ki zarurat padni lagi.’’

He answers looking at him and finishing the game with winning it.

Su:’’ Main chahta hun mera dost is game ki tarah apni zindagi mein bhi humesha khush rahein aur win karen.’’

He said while putting the remote on table making armaan smile and armaan looked at him.

Ar:’’Tu chinta mat kar main riddhima ka pura dhayan.’’

But he is cut short in between

Su:’’ Aaj riddhima ka bhai nahin tera best friend tujhse bat kar raha hain.’’

He said making armaan confused seeing him confused sujal puts his hand on armaan’s shoulder.

Su:’’ Riddhima ke bhai ko uski bahut fikar hain aur hogi bhi kyunki riddhima mein uski jaan basti hain. Par yeh rishta mera tere sath rishte ko nazar andaz nahin kr sakta hain.’’

Ar:’’ Sujal tu kya keh raha hain main kuch samajh nahin pa raha hun.’’

Su:’’ Dekh armaan main tera dost hun aur usi dosti ke nate tujhe ek bat kehta hun. Mujhe tujhe yeh nahin kehna ki tu aur riddhima shadi nibhao. Ya tu shreya ko bhul kar riddhima ko apna le use pyar kar. No vo tera rishta hain aur tu mujhse behtar janta hain unhein kaise nibhana hain aakhir shadi kari hain. Kuch soch samajh kar hi kari hogi. Main yeh kehna chahta hun ki is rihste ko nibhate nibhate khud ko mat khona tum log. Tum donow ek dusre se bahut alag ho ya ek jaise ho mujhe nahin pata. Par ise janane ke liye tum log kuch aur banane se pehle ek dusre ke dost bano. Tu ho kehta hain na yeh bahut special rishta hota hain. Kyunki agar tum dost banoge tou ek dusre ki pasand napasand jan paoge, comfortable ho paoge ek dusre ke sath. Jo ki shayad ek dusre ko izzat dene ke chakkar mein nahin ho. Izzat do par ek dusre ko samjo bhi. Space do par doston jaise care bhi do. Bas yehi kehna hain mujhe. Is rishte ko sirf zimevari ki tarah nahin nibhao, kisi ko kuch sabit nahin karna hain tujhe. Use vaise hi dekh jaise tera koi naya dost hain dekhna sab asan ho jayega tere liye.’’

He said and armaan was surprised with his talks. He was not at all expecting this especially after the equation changed in between them. After he gets married to his sister. But he again surprised him, yes that’s why he is his best friend, sujal. Armaan was relieved after hearing his advice. Finally someone actually gives him relief at his heart. Otherwise from the time he gets married to riddhima he is just listening about his duties towards her and the responsibilities towards this new relation. It’s not that he is running away from them. But yes he does need that assurance that everything will be fine soon. And sujal’s faith and his words did that. Sujal calls him as he does not get any response from him.

Su:’’ Kya hua armaan kahan kho gaya hain tu?’’

He asked and armaan just gives him a tight hug with a big smile and tears in his eyes.

Ar:’’ Tu nahin janta yar tune meri kitni badi help kari hain aur mere upar se kitna bada bojh(burden) hata diya hain. Jab se shreya ne sadi ke mandap mein mujhe choda aur riddhima se shadi ke decision tak main hi janta hun mujh par kya beet rahi thi. Riddhima ne jo mere liye kiya us samay mere parivar ke liye kiya, uska yeh ehsan main zindagi bhar nahin utar sakta. Bas isi uljhan mein ji raha hun mujhe use uska haq dena hain aur khushi. Main janta hun mujhe yeh sab karna hain. Par mere liye bahut mushkil hain ek dam se us sab se bahar ana. Aur tujh se bat karne se pehle main shayad nahin riddhima ko responsibility ki tarah hi dekh raha tha. Tune mujhe ek nayi rah dikhai hain yar, tune meri ankhon par se dundh (fog) hata di hain. Main use dost ki tarah dekhunga tou aur kuch na sahi par humare beech ki yeh awakardness zarur khatam ho jayegi. Tune mujhe bata diya hain mujhe apnein past se nikal kar present mein aage badhne ke liye kis taraf kadam lene hain.’’

He said and sujal rubbed his back, his work is done. Finally he is successful in lifting up the burden from his friend’s heart. Then to lighten up the emotional moment breaking the hug sujal speaks up

Su:’’Chal tu na meri behen ko tang kiya tou mujhe tere best friend se riddhima ka bhai banane mein der nahin lagegi samjha.’’

Ar:’’ Han mere yar I know don’t worry I will be good friend of hers that I can promise you.’’

He said and sujal nods his head he knows his friend is gem of person.

Next morning

It’s actually a new and bright start for both riddhima and armaan. Last night talk with their best friends respectively they have finally burden lifted from their hearts. Yes there are some tension in their heart riddhima’ heart still worries for armaan and dadu’s security. Armaan’s heart is broken with the betrayal of shreya. Yet they are somewhere sure about from where they have to start this new relation. Everybody is free from breakfast and all of them do notice the smiles on armaan and riddhima’s faces and that somewhere puts peace in gupta family’s hearts. Sid and sujal has widest smile seeing the genuine smiled on their best friends faces.

Soon it was time for riddhima and armaan to leave so armaan takes ram’s permission to leave.

Ar:’’ Dadu I guess ab humein nikalana chahiye.’’

Ram:’’ Han armaan beta nahin tou der ho jayegi.’’

Pr:’’ Riddhima jao beta apna saman le aao. Samriti uski help kar do. Sujal beta tab tak ap yeh sab shagun ka saman armaan ki car mein rakhvaiye.’’

Ar:’’ Dadi itna sab par.’’

Pr:’’ Ap chup kariye armaan yeh shagun hain betiyan kabhi khali hath thode na jati hain apnein mayke se.’’

She said and armaan does not have any answer this but sid speaks up

Si:’’Aur kya bhai apko kuch nahin pata. Par vaise dadi apko nahin lagta hain yeh sab saman bhai ki car mein nahin aa payega. Iske liye tou 1 truck thek rahega?’’

He chided her and priya holds his ear

Pr:’’ Acha bachoo dadi ke sath masti batati hun tujhe.’’

Everyone smiled with the lovely environment here. Here in riddhima’s room

Sa:’’ Riddhima beta sab ache se rakh liya na. Acha sun kuch chahiye hoga ya reh gaya hoga tou bol dena main bhej dungi.’’

She said checking her stuff riddhima smiles at her mom. Off course she is worrying her right after all she is her mom.

Ri:’’ Mumma ap tension kyun le rahein ho I can manage.’’

Sa:’’ Han pata hain riddhima tu apnein aur armaan ke.’’

She said putting her tension in words and riddhima understands her mom’s concern.

Ri:’’ Ap tension mat lo mom. I promise hum achi biwi aur achi bahu banane ki puri koshish karenge.’’

She said and hearing her samriti smiled and

Sh:’’ Han samriti humari riddhima bahut samajhdar hain.’’

He said while entering and hugging her and then

Sh:’’ Riddhima mujhe pata hain ap bahut samajhdar hain aur ap sab sambhal loge. Par beta always remember one thing your papa is just a call away. Humnein apka sirf kanyadan kiya hain par ap aaj bhi humari beti ho ok.’’

He said and riddhima hugged her father tightly. That’s her parents always stands with her like a rock pillar of strength and she loved them.

Now she knows she can face any trouble and she has full faith that she won’t let anything happen to anurag dadu and armaan. She will find that unseen enemy of her family and will not let him harm anybody.
