Not full on kill her, but he did want to scare her into thinking that he would. I get that he wanted her to back off from her spying, or reveal Kabir's name, but this plan will only reinforce her thinking that Vansh is indeed capable of committing murders.
I don't think he's legit in love with her. The way he said all those lines were so random. Vansh keeps everything to himself, and yet, within two days, he's expressing whatever's on his mind out loud? I don't buy it. I think he said it simply for the benefit of Daadi, who literally walked in right after.
If he makes Daadi believe that he's falling in love with Riddhima, then she can relay that information to Riddhima, or at least nudge her / drop hints about his feelings that will make Riddhima think twice about his perception on Vansh.
The difference between Kabir and Vansh are the motives. Kabir wants Vansh to fall in love with him so that Vansh drops his guard and reveals information that will get him into trouble. Whereas, Vansh wants Riddhima to drop her guard so that he can know who is manipulating her. I don't think he will go as far as actually doing anything with her, or making her fall in love with him. That's too far fetched and out of his control.
As for himself, he may like Riddhima, but he's miles away from actually being in love with her. There's still a large portion of him that doesn't trust her, and with good reason too.
