I think people who have an educated background, fare better in many respects. Maybe they are used to hard work, are open minded? Don't know what but education does have an effect on personality. Actresses like PC, Ash and Sushmita always held their own. I don't see new actresses today that can be compared with them. Thats because as a student you experience some really tough situations and learn to fight your own battles. It could be against a rule in school or arguing with your dissertation supervisor. Especially if you have gone out of the country even for a year, you experience a different type of life altogether. The thoughts that go on in your mind is that 'I have already experienced some ridiculous all nighters, its gonna go upwards from here'.

Most actresses today have lead a very privileged life (typical SoBo), they don't know about the crap life gives you. They'll throw a tantrum or have an anxiety attack if their hair straightener is broken. On the other hand as a student you don't have time to have immaculate appearances and if you're abroad, you might have to chose between getting your hair cut or buying groceries. The #STRUGGLE is real.

Till the 2000s we had achievers and go getters mostly so they were prepared for anything.

Manushi is graceful and intelligent for sure. As likeable as she is, I don't think she sets the screen on fire. I hope she does but I don't see it in her thus far. Since she's not a nepo kid, she will have to overperform to outshine the likes of Alia, Ananya, etc.
