Okay I’ve had enough fun on my thread, so let me get some serious pointers:

Prerna as a character from day 1 had put me off. I have a problem with women living in Lala land. Yes, I do! I have a problem when they don’t have interest in studies, I have a problem when their dreams are confined to getting married. I do have a problem because that leaves you nowhere and dependant on men and/or family!

In this age, every man/woman should study, work or get a vocational training or even do farming if they wish to. But, working is a must! It’s important to earn your own money because life can throw curve balls anytime.

Secondly, Every man/woman should have self-respect, this applies to Bajaj too. There, I said it. Dude, you should have left the woman on her own long back which you did and guess what she will now walk over you again because of her Sachha pyaar....

Prerna’s self respect has no presence at all. Not even when she was Mrs. Bajaj. She got a deal marriage and chose to stroll around with her LV bags. The makers had a fantastic plot where they could have shown her earning her own money despite being Mrs. Bajaj. Imagine the push and pull scenarios between a boss employee at office and husband wife at home. But, nahi, madam had to make roti in the middle of the night for the Ex-lover!

She was slapped, pushed around by the strong independent Basu Bari women apparently, yet she goes back crawling....

Her only concern was her devotion to her love... which is fine but hey I get to make coffee, carry files and wonder why I am blushing around my husband who is someone else’s husband.

Then I decorate SR beds..... I am Prerna-an inspiration you see! Pyaar mein sab chalta hai....

I would have cheered for her if she had challenged Bajaj, fought against him and didn’t give up but instead she chooses the easiest option present.

So, there are essays I could write but EKta has forgotten what her strong independent women meant back in the days. Prerna is such a bad badly written character.

I have not seen a worse FL in my entire TV serial journey of probably 25+ yrs. 🤣 In 2018, a girl agrees to marry a guy for few lakhs. Modern girl rocks. 😆

Actually i have read few theories here and there and from there to here...

Yes would have actually cheered for that prerna who would have accepted bajaj and consummated with him, making bacche after bacche...

Coz prerna would have rejected anurag and would have accepted bajaj whole heartedly that rejecting anurag and accepting bajaj to live a life of housewife, using bajajs money & power to setup business and lead independent life, pleasing bajaj for her stupidity she did in past(loving anurag, pleasing basu woman by cooking food for them, wagera wagera).. Running behind bajajs car when he decides to leave her(indifference tracks of ITV)...

Shayad would have accepted the same prerna (may be not me, but everyone have differrnt view and perception so audience might or might not have accepted)

Don't know what more I can add that hasn't been said already. But if the writers can have their own female star of the show say that she is not worth anything; it means they never really saw her as important, strong nor independent. The writers never sought to make her strong but only weak for a man. They just viewed her as a doll thrown back and forth between two man. Which btw contradicts ekta theme or crux of the whole show.

I mean the things Prerna did in the show was beyond insulting....

Wanting to marry Naveen to save her family property. I mean there was many ways that could've gone without marriage. The fact she was willing to marry a man more than her age was disgusting. Again the easy way out solution.

Coming back to the basu house after getting kicked out and insulted by her so called lover. She came back there for her rights and ended up going to jail and still managing to find time to have ""love scenes"" with the guy she hated.

This so called revengeful prerna is really a joke. Because on both occasions she doesn't have her eye set on revenge but pining for the man who did her wrong. Neither revenge track results was fruitful. Instead we get prerna daydreaming of anurag when he did the biggest sin which was separate her from her daughter.

I feel more bad for her family who ends up getting insulted with her mom being sent to jail and suffering during the 8 year leap thinking her daughter died. Prerna never informs her family about important decisions she make neither does she think of her family first.

So in all is this what you call a strong female heroine?

I agree however Bajaj isn't a cameo character like Naveen. The same as Komolika. Bajaj and Komolika are the biggest hurdles in the two main leads life and what causes them to remain separate always. Prerna would have grown more as a mature, independent woman as Mrs Bajaj. She has money, fame and status. However she chooses to throw all that away for a man who caused her so much harm and pain. Which again proves the writers just want prerna in this show to be weak and have no individuality. Bajaj is not perfect but he isn't a bad man. He has been patient with prerna all these years and continues to give into her demands. At least he isn't naveen who wanted to sell her I believe.

She should have been called as selfish, oppertunist if prerna found mrs. Bajaj status for her selfgain to become rich and independent.

Prerna sharma was always matured kind of person from her teenage days. Mrs. Bajaj banke maturity paane ki zaroorath nahin hai usko.

Wisely saying prerna did biggest blunder of life for marrying a blackmiler twiced her age.

Bajaj is not bad comeon yaar he is blackmiler who spoiled young girls life he is a posiible murderer who enjoyed took sadistic pleasure seeing anurag in icu in death bed ( mods same dialogues are used in episode by own bajaj that he was very happy seeing anurag in deathbed of icu).

Bajaj is not bad🤦‍♀🤦‍♀ someone who tries to kil handicapped person throws him on glasses, someone who takes sadiasic pleasure seeing someones son counting last breathes of life ...dnt know what to say or call that person

Hypothetical question ,hypothetical answer . If this happened , I would be asking the same question to you.

I would like to ask, except for blackmail shadi , when did bajaj misbehaved with her or mistreated her or disrespected her for any given reason ? Blackmail shadi also bec pre was in love with someone else, her mind was fixated on him. Suppose aisa nai hota toh kya hota ?
