For me actually, this has become a farce now. On the ring topic, my take is that yes, she can bjy whatever she wants at whatever cost. But as a responsible member of the household, this should be discussed and a fair decision arrived. If she buys a 5 lakh ring for Toshi's wife, can she do the same for the other two kids? Also, if you get the first kid used to such luzurious expenditure, they will expect the same throughout.

As a responsible wife and mother, she could have explained to Mrs. Dave that she can buy whatever she wants for her Kinjal and they will buy a shagun ki anghooti for her now. And this should have been explained to Toshi too. Come on, he's not a child. He can't put his zidd every time.

I too got married after a lot of parental opposition from both sides. Finally we both were just so happy to be getting married that we didn't care about anything else. I was from a lower middle class family, and we managed to get married however our parents could manage then.

I was honestly disgusted by her behaviour. And what Vanraj screamed at her was totally right - Mrs. Dave actually wanted to show her richness off to the Shahs, that's why she put forward that request. If Anupama had any duniyadaari, she would have recognised that and managed the situation.

Am just so tired of showing Anupama as so mahaan all the time. Let's hope she wakes up soon enough otherwise this show will sink down the drain.

You hit the nail on the head. Just because one has the right, one doesn’t go about doing stuff without common sense. Duniyadari is an apt word. And I am getting tired of Anupama acting so self sacrificing all the time, “grow a spine, lady”, is what I would like to say to her.

And yes, Anupama’s job is teach her son not to hanker after material things they cannot afford. There is a saying in my language which says, “you need to stretch your legs only as far as the mattress allows you to stretch.” Toshu needs to understand that getting him married to Kinjal itself is a gift, wanting anything more is being greedy, demanding and unreasonable.
