So this week ended on yet another jam-packed epi with fast moving events😆
Lovely episode :)
First up, a very nervous Shravan hesitant to go in front of Vijay....but Vijay pleasantly surprises him and Sumo by declaring them the best students in the group study and gives them personal handwritten letters of appreciation :) Lovely, poignant scene this one.....the actor playing Vijay has such gravitas that is tailor made for such scenes....Shravan touching his feet and saluting him again had a sense of finality and goodbye to like it will be the last time he will get to do these things with him. Vijay also again seemed to notice the way Sumo-Shravan are looking at each other so it again felt like he has an inkling about them.
I loved this scene, Col Vijay is a treat to watch. Loved how he gave a prep talk to his best cadets. There was such a personal touch and a real effort to show his appreciation for the best students. I was feeling extra happy for Shravan:) Also loved how Shravan touches his feet, it just felt a natural reaction to the way Vijay treats Shravan. The look SS shared today was noticed by Vijay today, but he just ever so subtly changed the topic to get their attention. Par ab zyada bach nahi payenge😆
Then the Sumo-Shravan hug as soon as Vijay leaves the room😆....once again, I loved that it happened in the flow of the moment rather than some big build up event that needs a mahurat😆....but it cracked me up that they got a bit awkward in the end and Shravan awkwardly tried to explain ki "baat hi itni badi thi" toh koi baat nahin agar hug kar liya😆.....these two are funny with the things they get awkward about.
The happywala hug just came about with the kids being happy they were first in class😆 Its still such a shock to see these natural hugs and fleeting glances without stretching it into eternity or making a big deal out of nothing😆
I'll not dwell on the fact that Vijay seems to have amnesia about his own dad kicking Shravan out of the class😆....but overall they tried to show Vijay as the mature one today supposedly not letting his personal issues with Devraj impact the relationship of the kids.
Dekh ke andekha kar do 😆, it never happened.
Then came the faked accident....Devraj got his way by managing to delay Vijay to the signing of the contract....but I liked that Vijay figured out what happened and confronted Devraj.....very well done scene with two veteran actors showing that nuanced back and forth between these two characters. Devraj considers himself a principled businessman but I guess a faked accident is allowed within his "principles"😆....he seems to find Vijay's principles khokhle. While Vijay for his part is now more disgusted with Devraj and has declared everything finished between them.
I know this is plot point just to make it look like Devraj did some scam in making of the vest. But Vijay called him twice to come and get papers signed but Devraj did not return his call. Then when he actually went Daddu thing happened😵 The thing is I dont understand why Devraj keeps saying Vijay would have never signed papers🤔
Coming to the actual scene, it played out so well mainly because of both the actors!! I really wish Vijay knows about his dad before his death:(
Another sweet scene was both the kids reading out each other's letters of appreciation from Vijay....Sumo's referenced her DIL which Vijay encouraged her to use to always put the truth above all else....and Shravan's referenced the SPARK that Vijay sees in him, still encouraging him to become an officer. At this point, Sumo simply wished that it would be nice if Shravan's dream was also to join the Army but he wasn't sure yet.
These two are just a joy to watch. I have this warm, fuzzy feeling while watching them and a silly grin😆
After the leap Sumo will clutch to this advice from her dad. So even though she wont be able to get Shravan out of her heart, she cant be with him as he would be siding with someone who is wrong. As for Shravan, the takeaway is Vijays belief in him that if he ever choses to be in army he would reach great heights. Shravan may choose to join army to get his dad free from the charges and also as a tribute to Vijays faith in him.
Then came a montage of days passing leading up to the exams....lol it amused me that they included old shots of SS on the bike from the night out epi....and also a random shot from an old classroom scene....bechaare have to struggle with the footage in these pandemic times. The big outcome from this montage seemed to be Sumo noticing Shravan looking at a tattoo on some girl's hand so she gets the bright idea to tattoo "SUVAN" on her neck🤣.....I get that it's a very teenage love thing to do but it still made me burst out laughing😆. The thought is sweet that she wanted to do something for Shravan but seriously tattooing THIS? Oh well😆....
Lol I did not realise they recycled some shots😆, but I really loved the way they just showed both of them studying together, meeting at their special corner, giving their exams and finally the joy of exams getting over and excitement to celeberate the milestone. Bechara Shravan was so excited to meet Sumo, but she was busy preparing for a big surprise for Shravans first bday post meeting her😆 I liked the Kancha-Sumo scene, poor Kancha is having trouble figuring out her BEHEN nowadays😆
Also, I was surprised Sumo did not get mad at Shravan for staring at a girls tattoo, itni positive bandi hai, she got an inspiration to get a tattoo done for herself😆
Then we instantly jump to the night of Shravan's b'day with Sumo waiting to surprise him....until the family interrupts with their own surprise.....ok, one thing I wasn't clear on....Shravan saw an acceptance letter email from the US university in his email but he lied to Sumo that he didn't get admission? And then later his dad came and said that he's gotten admission so he's all set to go to the US?😆
Sumo was so excited for her surprise, bit instead got surprised🥺 I think he lied because he knows Sumo is usoolo ki pakki. Once she knows he got admission, she would not let him give up on his dreams for her. Shravan is a fatoo, so he took an easy way out😆 Par iska jhooth hamesha pakda jata hai😆
Anyways, precap is the big dhamaka for next week I guess.....Sumo shows her surprise tattoo to Shravan😆....then these kids try to graduate to a kiss😆....and the family bursts in right that moment🤣....bechaare bacchon ne tightly haath bhi pakad liya ek dusre ka just as they promised to....but family waale look super angry....lol....timing bhi kaafi galat pad gayi....what a way to get caught😆
Precap is a big dhamaka. I am waiting to see Vijays reaction to finding out about SS.
Next week should also be quite eventful with the aftermath of the family discovering them together, then Vijay's death and the fallout from that.
