When Sony axed dil hi toh hai.. due to public demand they took it online.. now the show comes with seasons

They should consider something like this.. away from TRP pressure.. and if they do seasons, the actors are also free to take up other interesting work .., plus such youth based, concept driven shows should go digital, have seasons so that the story is not compromised due to TRP aunties and pressure

Even OTT shows have pressure on viewership/numbers. Only good thing would be that story doesn’t change based on viewership because typically entire season is shot before they begin telecast. But again the seasons are usually very small and renewal depends on viewership of previous seasons. So yeah no matter what platform a show airs on, numbers matter.

Whatever maybe the reason for shutting down a show,we viewers are always taken for a ride.

ofcource viewership matters.. this show never lacked online viewership.. it’s got a huge international viewership also.. but we can’t contribute to tv TRP coz of many reasons.. for eg I don’t live in India but I watch it on Hotstar without fail.. but it’s not counted....the channel fails to understand that the target audience of this show is not 9 pm audience...

nobody is being an Einstein here by suggesting that numbers and viewership doesn’t matter

I am honestly not regretful about what all could not be shown (apart from one thing) because they really gave us some very memorable scenes throughout the course of these 15 months.

I loved how Shaheer and Rhea enacted emotional scenes together, they were so in sync ❤️

Though I have nothing against SNS2 or any other show that might have replaced YRHPK, it would be ironic if even the new show couldn't do as well as the channel is expecting it to. Wish them well tho..

As for RS, I really appreciate how him and his PH ensured the safety of cast and crew in the post lockdown shooting phase. I wish as the captain of the ship, he felt more strongly for this show as it was truly a dream team and if only he was lil more determined to keep the show going probably the show would not have been going off air so soon. Maybe he thought it prudent to do cost cutting at this point. Good of him to acknowledge that YRHPK is a brand and am sure he would want to work with this team once again.

Trps are always a tricky business, what trp would be good enough at any given point of time keeps changing. As silly as it may sound I take it as that the show was destined to go off air in this period of time. Will surely hope that something even bigger and better awaits the team going forward. They all are such a talented and professional bunch, they deserve all the success <3 THU THU THU 😃

more than the fact that the show is going off air, it’s the way things have panned out.. the show has a huge following.. a cult following if I may say so..so the show should have been given time to properly wrap up.. not a 10 day notice.. that’s why is not going well with it’s fans

I really felt bad for him too. He didn't even properly get the chance to show his acting mettle. But really glad he became a part of the show. He did well in emotional scenes <3 And him and Kaveri looked great together.
