As we head towards a journey of together forever of Anurag and Prerna with the ending of Kasautii Zindagii Kay, I would like to dedicate this thread to Prerna and Erica's portrayal as Prerna. This thread is to look back at some of her memorable moments as Prerna Sharma and Prerna Sharma Basu.

Prerna Sharma - She was introduced as a simple, lazy, girl next door, her baba's favorite, a romantic at heart and follows what her heart says, emotional and dreams about her prince charming. She never imagined herself falling in love with Anurag Basu, who was her very own super boring internet gyaani baba. But, they were destined to and love happened💘

She found a best friend in him with whom she can be her own talkative self, she enjoyed seeing him learning to enjoy small things in life, she always had his support whenever she was in need, and he trusted her when her own family couldn't. His care, concern, trust and proximity made her heart flutter and she fell in love with him irrevocably. She went through the pain of being friend-zoned by him whilst she longed to confess. One of the beautiful aspects of their love is that, she never enforced her love upon him, neither did he. Finally, she got to the live the magical moment she always longed for with her Ladke.

"Shayad Tumse zyada tumse pyaar karne lagi hoon" she confessed.

She also had a fore boarding that they might never get to live the simple choti si duniya she wished for with her Anurag. And it happened. With series of betrayal from both their ends, followed by revenge, retribution, their hearts always longed for each other, yet they were always apart. But finally, as we head for a happily ever after of them, she will get to live the life she always wished for with her Anurag, be pampered by him, because Prerna Sharma deserves the best 💖✨

Erica's portrayal of soft, cute, subtle Prerna made her very lovable. Keeping the shortcomings of her aside, she has been wonderful as Anurag's Prerna and has given splendid performances. The sassy Prerna from the first track of Komolika was amazing - crisp, clean, to the point with no over reactions. Another special mention would be the cute little nuances she brought in as pregnant Prerna. And Prerna's smile, one of the most beautiful and best things about her. Her smile has content, it's whole hearted. I can't leave out how her eyes speaks volumes - be it passion, anger, or sukoon❣️

Eri has been amazing as Prerna Sharma. I hadn't seen her before KZK but had heard a lot about her portrayal of Sonakshi Bose and how EK waited 3 years to cast her as Prerna.

So let's take a look down the memory lane of some of the amazing moments of Prerna Sharma throughout the journey. 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞

Prerna was our bubbly chutter putter radio box who believed in true love and romantic stories. She made me adore her from the start. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Her struggle with her feelings for Anurag and falling in love with him is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💞💞💞💞💞💞💞

And finally AnuPre's confession. One of the most beautiful ones that I have seen❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Eri stole my heart with potraying Prerna's breakdown in the humiliation scene from Anurag and Komolika's engagement. She has made me feel Prerna's pain so many times throughout the journey.

And who doesn't love sassy Pre? 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Prerna Sharma once said mein jeena chahti hoon, tumhare saath and she is finally going to get what she has always wanted, hoped and prayed for. Finally some peace in her life. After being robbed of all the little things she is finally going to get her fairytale ending 💖✨

Erica never impressed with her acting skills and in my opinion she was the weakest link in terms of acting but Prerna is totally a memorable character and i love her for she quite merrily used another mans money and surname and played his wife to the world to have a luxurious life after being pushed to death by her lover and then chooses to have a happy ending with the same lover who pushed her to death and took her infant child away from her...truly memorable stuff!

Prerna sharma ,A soul who has no own individuality ...that woman who needs another man's kandha everytime to survive. That patni who could do EMA on the name of loyalty... That woman who shamelessly lives on another man's money n surname..that lost child mother who shamelessly could romance with her child murderer ... That soul over self rspect n family respect choose to be insulted on the name of toxic love..A home broker of another married lady's home on the name of sindur n dhaaga ,. That FL who has zero moral conpass... Yah indeed a queen .

As per erica's portrayal... She was not impressive for me as prerna ever. But as time being i turned quite neutral for her. Sometimes i could like her acts..sometimes not. But she improved a lot ...

Very nice writting TM..i love every words...but sorry i could not imagine serial's prerna character here..

Erica has been good surely not the best in this serial in my opinion. This i say because there is no trace of her previous character Sonakshi Bose that i find in Prerna..So she has diversified, understand the character well (whatever was dished out to her) and learnt a lot in the process. OTT Acting is not her forte because i feel she is natural actor which for some people in my opinion feel like no acting when in reality she is still in front of camera.

Apart from the full serial where she had crackling chemistry to Parth' Anurag or did well with KSG/ KP Bajaj as Mrs. Bajaj; her high point in acting in serial includes

* Komo track

* Momory Loss

I would also blame the CVs for giving her the weakest dialogues and character sketch and to do even some justice to it is mark of decent actor for me. It is very easy to ride high or decent when you have been given great dialogues and character sketch which has happened with some characters in serial.

She gelled very well in the Shoes of Prerna and came true to the Expectations which Ekta had in her mind when she waited for it, this also reinforced my belief that Ekta rarely gets it wrong there.

She could show many shades here for simple girl, lover, mother, daughter to her parents, challenger to Komo, fleeting example of businesswomen in last track in that track( a phuski compared to her previous serial). Hence i have heard her mentioning many times how this/ Balaji serial gave her more shades to act than her previous one.

I would remember this as second successful stint at mainstream TV serial that too a Balaji one and wish all the best for upcoming endeavors.

If only one percencente of forgiving nature of pre comes into me,it would be great.as I can't forgive easily.

But looking at prerna I feel I don't want to be like her .But little bit of forgiving is actually good for one own personal development.

The way she forgive people is amazing.its the rarest quality one can see around.prerna Sharma has this quality.

In an earlier thread, I had commented how this forum looks staunchly anti-Prerna (for good reason possibly) and sometimes even anti-Erica (for reasons I am not aware of). While there is a lot of praise ( brickbats from opposing camps) for the male actors it makes you wonder what Prerna/Erica has done to warrant such hostility. However, it is nice to see a post which is meant to appreciate the good!

I haven't seen a lot of the show, but I saw a clip where she was wonderful. The scene had her hugging Anurag after some accident and she says he is the most important person for her. So short but was very well done.

I agree there are scenes where Prerna looks unrelatable but there are also scenes where she shines the brightest. The writers have shortchanged the fans of Prerna, she should have been the epitome of a strong woman. There was no focus on what her character feels and no voice to justify her actions. The woman had no side character in her corner.

Not playing to her strengths in subtlety in my opinion is a huge disservice to Erica. She may be limited in certain aspects but who isn't? For a daily show actor not all days are equal.

The choices made by her stylist/hair person were suboptimal most of the time. Komolika (Aamna), Nivi and even Mohini had better stylists.
