Episode 9

Archit: Reyansh, Pranati kahin nhi mil rhi hai, woh tumhare ghar aayi hai kya?

Rey: Kya? Kahan chali gayi Prani?

Archit: Pta nhi, woh toh room mein so rhi thi, Navya check krne gayi toh wahan nhi thi. Kamre mein sara saman bhi bikhra hua hai.

Rey: Archit sun tu police ko inform kr, bol Pranati musibat mein hai, agar na maane toh mujhe call krio main handle kr loonga. Main tab tak Pranati ka pta lagata hoon.

Reyansh cut the call and ran to his room to meet Anisha.

Rey: bhabhi, Vardan bhaiya kahan hai?

Anisha: woh toh thodi der pehle bahar gaye the.

Rey: kuchh bta kr gaye ki Kahan Gaye the?

Anisha: woh....woh..

Rey: bhabhi please jaldi btao.

Anisha: woh woh keh rahe the ki woh Pranati ka...ka kaam khatam krne jaa rahe hain.

Reyansh got really scared and his hands started shivering.

Maan: bhai kya hua?

Rey: Pranati gayab hai. Vardan bhaiya shayad usse kahin leke gaye hai. Unki location ka pta lagana padega. Main Krish ko call krta hoon.

He tried dialing in the number but since his hands were shaking he couldn't press the buttons. Maan took the phone from him and dialled in.

Maan: hi Krish, Maan bol raha hoon. Main tujhe 2 numbers message kr rha hoon. Inki location pta laga jitna jaldi ho sake.

He cut the call and sent Vardan's and Pranati's contacts.

Maan: Bhai please abhi ghabrane ka time nhi hai, hamme Prabhi ko dhondna hai. Please sambhalo apne aap ko. (They received a call from Archit). Bhai Archit ka call hai.

Archit: hello Reyansh, yeh log keh rahe hain ki 24 ghante se pehle missing complaint file nhi kareinge.

Rey: Baat kra meri unse.

Inspector: Hello

Rey: officer main Baljeet Khurrana ka pota Reyansh Khurrana bol raha hoon. Main janta hoon aap missing complaint file nhi kr sakte but Pranati bohot musibat mein hai. Mere liye uska pta lagana bohot zaroori hai.

Inspector: aap itna sure hoke kaise keh sakte hai

Rey: kyunki main jaanta hoon woh kis musibat hai. Sir please, it's better to stop a crime before it happens.

Inspector: Thhik hai Mr. Khurrana, hum unhe dhoondne ki koshish krte hai.

He finally got a text from Krish giving them the location of Pranati's phone.

Rey: Maan location aa gai, gadi nikal jaldi. (Maan ran out and he turned towards Anisha) bhabhi aap yahin rahiye aur kamre se bahar my nikalna jab tak main ya Maan nhi aa jaate.

She nodded and he ran out too. He met Maan at the car and told him that he will drive. He got out of the driveway.

Rey: Location Kahan ki hai?

Maan: bhai yeh toh kali mata ke mandir ka dikha raha hai.

Rey:Nhi bhaiya Prani ko wahan nhi leke jaayenge. Aisa kr, tu Archit ko call kr aur bol ki police ko lekar wahan aa jaye, woh humari madad kreinge..

Maan followed his instructions and passed the information to Archit. Reyansh was driving recklessly through the traffic jumping bunch of signals. For him his only goal was to find Pranati at any cost. He finally reached the temple. He took out picture of Pranati on his phone and started asking people if they have seen her but all efforts were in vain. Finally the police arrived. The inspector instructed his officers to find Pranati. A officer came with a lost phone.

Inspector: kya yeh unka phone hai?

Reyansh opened the phone to find Jugnu's picture as lock screen.

Rey: haan sir.

Officer: yeh mujhe Mandir ki peechhe wali gali mein mila. Sir shayad woh jo koi hai woh usse agle block wali khali building mein leke gaya hai, wahan car nhi ja sakti isliye jaate jaate phone gir gaya hoga.

Inspector instructed half of the officers to keep searching the place and other half to come to the building with them. Reyansh was running fast to the building unlike others. He looked furious as well as scared to his spine. He reached there and a faint sound of someone hit his ears.

"Chhodo mujhe, koi hai bachao"

He recognised the sound as Pranati's

Rey: Prani! Prani!

He started searching through the building. The sound was getting clearer and clearer. He opened the wooden door from where the sound was loudest only to see the scene that he never wanted to see even in his scariest nightmares. There was Vardan trying to molest Pranati while Pranati's one sleeve was torn and her face was covered with tears. A single tear fell off his eye seeing her condition. His hand turned into a fist as he looked towards Vardan. The rage in his eyes were nothing you've ever seen before.

Vardan: oh Reyansh....

And his cheek met with his fist. For all those boxing practice that he did in jealousy was paying off. He kept punching Vardan again and again while Maan who just got there helped Pranati to stand up.

Rey: Meri Prani ke saath badtameezi krega tu. (Another punch). Haath kaise lagaya usse? (Another punch)

Vardan's face as well as Reyansh's hand started bleeding when he heard Pranati whimper.

Pranati: Reyansh....

That one word stopped him from treating his brother like a punching bag. He turned around and said in a same tone.

Rey: Prani....

He quickly removed his jacket and covered Pranati with it and then hugged her tightly. Pranati cried in his shoulder hugging him back. His eyes became watery too. He pulled out from hug and placed his hands on either side of Pranati's face.

Rey: kuchh nhi hua, kuchh nhi hua hai tujhe. Main yahin hoon tere sath. Main sab thhik kar doonga I promise.

Pranati hugged him again and sobbed a bit more. While this was all happening police arrested Vardan. Suddenly Pranati's sobs stopped.

Rey: Prani? Prani? (He shook her and found that she has fainted in his arms). Maan doctor ko phone krke ghar bula, main Pranati ko leke jaata hoon

He carried her in bridal style out of the building and towards the car which Maan was driving while Archit went with police to make sure Vardan gets what he deserved.

Reyansh carried Pranati into the Khurrana mansion and to her room. He made her lie down and started massaging her hand. Soon doctor arrived and checked Pranati. He told everyone that she was weak as well as in shock that's why she fainted and she'll recover soon...

Episode 10

A few hours later....

Pranati was still unconscious while Rey's tension was increasing with every second.

Rey: Isse hosh kyun nhi aa raha hai yaar?

Maan: bhai aa jayega aap chinta mt kro.

"Oye Reyansh kithe ae tu, niche aa" he heard his Daadi calling him out in the hall. He gave a look to Maan and they both slowly came down.

Rey:kyun bulaya aapne daadi?

Dadi: oh tu janta hai maine kyun bulaya. Vardan jail mein kya kr rha hai? Tune kasam kha rakhi ki mera BP neeche girne hi nhi dena hai

Rey:Dadi aap janti hai bhai ne kya kiya hai?

Dadi: sab janti hoon main. Kuchh nhi kra hai usne. Aur tu kya uski galtiyan ginva raha hai mujhe? Tu uss bahar ki aayi Hui ladki ke liye apne bhai ko jail bhijwayga. Arre maan liya ki usne thoda sa chhed diya toh kya ho gaya? Woh ladki konsa dhudh ki dhuli hai? Dekhe nhi uske karam tune? Bin bihayi maa hai aur fir bhi aashiq leke ghum rhi hai. Kya pta uske kitne najayaz rishte ho. Pta chale woh Jugnu teri beti ho hi na kisi aur ki....

Rey: BAS DADI!

Rey shouted on top of his voice (add dhum ta nana track 😂). Everyone was shocked as no one ever dared to shout in front of Dadi.

Rey: Galti Vardan bhaiya ki thi. Isse jitna jaldi maan lo utna aapke liye achha rahega kyunki main unhe unki galti ki saza dilwaker rahoonga. Mere hote hue, woh kabhi nhi hoga jo meri maa ke saath hua.

Riya: Pranati didi!

Riya said looking towards the indore balcony. Everyone looked where Riya was looking and saw Pranati standing there. Reyansh ran up the stairs and towards her.

Rey: Tu thhik hai na?

Pranati: haan reyansh main thhik hoon

Rey: tu bahar kyun aayi? Chal andar chalke aaram kr.

She nodded her head slightly and went with him inside the room. Everyone in the hall dispersed leaving dadi alone.

Dadi (to herself): kar le Pranati apne Mann ki jitni kr sakti hai. Ek hafte baad court ki date hai. Jugnu ki custody milte hi main tujhe dhakke maar ke ghar se bahar nikalungi.

Reyansh made Pranati sit down and ordered the servants to bring food for her. They brought fruits and soup for her.

Rey: main toh tujhe yeh bhi nhi keh sakta ki shakal mt bnaio isse dekhke. Pta nhi kaise tujhe yeh beswaad khana pasand ata hai.

He said feeding her. Pranati kept staring at him in confusion. Jugnu entered the room.

Rey (smiling): yeh lo, shakal bnane wali aa gai.

Jugs:Nai maa ab aap kaise ho?

Pranati:ab main thheek hoon Jugnu.

Jugs: maine na aapko bohot miss kiya, aur toh maine homework bhi kar liya hai toh aaj main poori raat aapke saath rahoongi aur bohot saari baatein karoongi

Rey:Aur school kon jayega? Main ya teri nai maa? Chal khana kha le maine tere liye bhi mangvaya hai.

Jugs:yeh beswaad khana, main nhi kha rhi.

Rey: arre teri maa akele akele torture kyun jhele, saath toh dena chahiye na?

Jugs: haan toh aap bhi do na

Rey: tujhe kya lagta hai, tum dono ko soup pila ke main apne pizza manvaoonga? Meri itni majal! Mere liye bhi yahi hai. Vahan hum dono ka pada hua hai, dhyaan se leke aaja.

Jugnu brought the tray nicely and kept it on the bed. Rey finished feeding Pranati and started eating himself. Both him and his daughter drank the soup at the same time and made disgusted faces. Pranati saw both of them and smiled a bit. She forgot everything that happened seeing one smile of her daughter. She saw her and Reyansh making funny faces but still eating it.

Reyansh wiped Jugnu's mouth nicely and told the servants to take the tray away. He got up and took Pranati's medicines in hand and offered it with a glass of water. Pranati quietly took it.

Rey:Achha ninja, main chalta hoon. Apni maa ka dhyan rakhna aur time se so jana. Bye, goodnight.

Reyansh smiled and went out. Jugnu started telling Pranati all kinds of stories of what all happened in last few days when she was not there with her. While she was in deep thinking

Pranati (in mind): main shayd tumhe kabhi nhi samajh paungi Reyansh. Kya sochte ho kya krte ho kuchh samajh nhi ata. Main kis Reyansh per vishwas kroon, woh jo har waqt mujhe neecha dikhata hai ya woh jo meri bohot parwah krta hai? Jo mere liye aaj apni Dadi se.....

Pranati talked with Jugnu for sometime and asked her to sleep.

Next morning she heard someone whispering.

Rey(whispering): Jugnu chal uthh school jana hai, jaldi kr.

He saw Pranati slightly opening her eyes.

Rey(to pranati): tu aram se so ja, main isse taiyaar krke school bhej doonga.

He carried jugnu in his arms and took her out. Pranati got up from the bed and peaked through the door to see what were they both upto. She saw Reyansh tickling Jugnu to wake her up.

Rey(to Jugnu): achha Aaj mere room mein ready ho ja, teri nai maa ko thoda rest krne dete hai. Teri uniform aur tera bag main dheere se le aaunga. Chal bhag.

He ruffled her hair and she walked lazily to Reyansh's room. While Reyansh turned around to go back to Pranati's room but he saw her standing there.

Rey: Yaar maine tujhe kaha tha na aram kr. Tu Jugnu ki tension mt le main usse thhik se pahoncha dunga. Tu abhi bhi thodi weak hai. Doctor ne proper bed rest krne ko kaha hai.

He helped her to the bed and made her lie down. He covered her with the sheet.

Rey: ek baar tu thheek ho gayi na toh tu hi uthhke iss shaitan ko taiyar krio. Main apni neend nhi kharab kroonga.

He smiled and took the necessary things for Jugnu and left. For the first time Pranati slept peacefully in this house as for the first time she didn't have anything to worry about....

Rey against Dadi, I can only imagine 😆
