Producers of BV wouldn't make the film with Ranveer - Anurag Kashyap

Anurag had a interview today, he said he wanted to cast Ranveer in Bombay Velvet, but he had a tough time because the producers of the film said they would not give him the money to make the film if he casts Ranveer. He also said Ranveer auditioned for the film Shaitaan and he was rejected.

Why would Fox take that stance ?

Movie was awful anyway.

this shows that the system worked against ranveer aswell, the producers of bombay velvet chose to cast the starkid ranbir kapoor over ranveer singh even when the director wanted to cast Ranveer

and that would have again proved that ranveer does not have the safety net of a famous family name, if ranveer had done BV his career would have been over, he cannot afford a disaster, whereas ranbir can have disaster and still get offered the best films

yeh they chose rajeev over Ranveer, now just imagine if it was a starkid that auditioned, they wouldn't have even had to audition, even just a phonecall would have put them in the movie

Wonder how the movie was made in the first place.. Ranveer got lucky plain and simple

Most of Kashyap's movies are watchable... Velvet was a glaring exception
