Is there any logic left in this ? They have opened up everything then what is the point in torturing these guys?

Theaters are different in that they are enclosed spaces with no fresh air circulation where people will be stationary for 2-3 hours. It's why most countries only opened theaters after the curve was beaten and cases significantly went down. But it hasn't in India.

Theaters had said earlier that if they were opened to only 25% capacity that they wouldn't make money. But opening at that capacity is the only feasible way to do it.

But AC restaurants are being allowed. Nobody is wearing a mask there. Even exams have been conducted in same conditions with just a 3 ply mask given to students.

Where have AC restaurants opened? AFAIK only takeaway is open till now so the kitchen teams are the only ones working. Restauranst are ending up saving quite some money this way coz no electric, AC etc.

I haven't seen a single place open with seating near me, McD, Starbucks, CCD, bigger restaurants like Zafran are all closed. Only Takeaway is available.

No restaurants are functioning here. Usually packed too with no one wearing masks. There is a Starbucks near my place and even that is packed with customers. I don't know if its with permission or without but given I have seen quite a few its hard to believe they are not working with permission.

Which city are you talking about? Because I am only seeing Takeaway in Mumbai. I think they have permission for takeaways because the food travels one way and theres no chance of contamination if only limited people are exposed to the food while cooking it. Then Zomato/Swiggy delivers it.

Is Mumbai still in lockdown? Maybe thats why its not opened up there.

But in other places some restaurants have been given permission.
