ohhhhkayyy in our tradition mangalsutra is not that important. Infact there is no ritual of Mangalsutra in us. After marriage Groom gifts that to bride 😆
In Kerala according to Nair caste tradition, thali (mangalsutra ) and sindoor were never that important....it later got added up and now they are worn to the bride by the grooms😆
But here giving pudava ( wedding saree) by groom's hand was considered the most important symbol of getting married along with father giving hand of bride to groom (panigrahanam)....hence during the earlier eras kuwari ladkis never accepted cloth pieces from strangers with their bare hands or touched them with hands😆
Also since kerala is an intermix of many culture like Syrian Indian etc. ...in all religion there are many similarities in marriages yet many differences too...
But I personally like sindoor dhaan ritual a lot....and I like now it's a ritual in our weddings too😳❤️
