Part 6

Hanuman, Arya and Neil all were having their breakfast while Mini was scolding Arya to finish her breakfast quickly. “Mumma, you know I hate plain cornflakes then why you are forcing me to have it.” Arya complained.“Arya, your chocoflakes box is already empty. I forgot to bring it from the market. I promise I’ll bring it today but please for today eat this plain cornflakes.” Mini tried to persuade her. “Leave it, if she doesn’t like it then don’t force her.” Neil said and made Arya sit on his lap. “Princess, come you eat scrambled egg with papa today.” Neil said and started feeding her from his plate. And Arya happily ate it all.

“Neil, just wait for few minutes. I’ll make another for you.” Mini said. “Let it be, you’ll get late for school. I’ll eat something in office.” Neil replied. “But…how can you leave like this….without having anything….ye Rani di bhi na…aaj hi chhutti karni thi inhe….just wait for few minutes na….Its just scrambled eggs. It wont take time.” Mini said and ran to the kitchen.

Hanuman was silently observing them. He could feel that something has changed between them. They were behaving like any other normal couple. Caring for Arya together without fighting. Mini even showing her care for Neil openly not hiding it behind different excuses. “So, seems like your dinner date went very well…I can see the effects.” Hanuman whispered to Neil. “Ya, aapke aashirwad se sab achha ja raha hai….pray to God that by the end of this case I’ll get my family back.” Neil replied back with smile.

Mini came there with Neil’s breakfast and found her dad and husband discussing something. “What are you guys talking about?” She asked. “Nothing, I was just asking him can I get a half day leave for today.” Hanuman said. “Why?” Mini asked. “Naeem bi had called me. Her work is over in the village and she wants to come back. So I thought main khud lene chala jaata hoon….bahut din ho gaye gaon gaye hue…waha kuch apni ancestral properties hain…wo bhi dekh lunga and I was also thinking that dopahar mein Arya ka school bhi khatam ho jata hai to…I should take Arya with me…she likes to go there.” Hanuman said. “Wow, nanu we will go to village….yayy! I will drink lots of lassi.” Arya said excitedly.

“Hmm…ok you can go. I’ll manage for a day without you.” Neil agreed. “Ok, I also have no problem but please early morning mein aa jana Arya ka school nahi miss hona chahiye.” Mini also agreed. While Mini was in kitchen Neil had told Hanuman that their dinner date was very good and Mini has opened up to him and confessed that she also wants to get back but still has trust issues and need some time. Hanuman then have this idea that he will not be staying at home tonight and will take Arya with him also thereby giving them some time alone to work further on their relationship.

Mini held Arya’s hand and picked up her school bag and waterbottle and run to the main door. “Come quickly beta, we have to catch auto also as even today I don’t have my scooty.” Mini said to Arya. Neil heard that and yesterday’s incident flashed in his mind. “Wait, no need to go by auto. I’ll ask driver to drop you at school and call me once your school is over I’ll send him again to pick you up.” Neil informed. Mini knew at once why Neil has done this. she just rolled her eyes at his possessive nature.

“Sir, there is one good news. We have taken the details of the psychiatrists of all the victims and they are not different. Its only one doctor. Dr. Isha Mehra who treated all of them.” Mickey informed. “Isha Mehra….seems like I have heard this name somewhere.” Neil replied. “You must have heard her name on tv or newspapers. She is renowned psychiatrist. She had impressive clientele. Mostly treats famous, rich, page three people. All the victims were also from well off families so they must have approached her.” Mickey informed.

“Hmm…we should pay a visit to this doctor.” Neil said and asked Mickey to come with him together with the team and lady officers in case they need to search Isha’s premises. They reached to her clinic and informed her receptionist Preet.

“Ma’am, police has come and they want to meet you immediately.” Preet informed her over the phone and Isha asked her to send them in. “Welcome Mr. Oberoi.” Isha greeted Neil. “You know me?” Neil asked surprised. “Aapko kaun nahi janta? Aajkal tv, newspapers har jagah aap hi chhaye hue hain.” Isha said as she pointed at tv screen in her cabin where Neil’s press bite was being telecasted. “I must say, tv ke comparison mein real life mein jyada handsome lagte hain aap.” Isha flirted. Mickey almost coughed seeing how openly she is flirting with Neil while Neil avoided her totally. “Ms. Mehra, I’ll directly come to the point. We have found out in our investigation that all the victims were your patients. What do have to say about this?”

“See Mr. Oberoi, I didn’t know any of them personally. I treated them at different time for different problems. But when the news of their murder was out I was actually shocked.” Isha replied. “All of them were your clients. this is the common link between them and you didn’t find it necessary to inform police about it?” Mickey asked a little strictly. “See, I am not in police…I am just a normal person. How would I know that this fact was important from investigation point of view.” Isha tried to give explanation. “Just cut the crap. Will you? You didn’t tell us because you feared that it will tarnish your image and reputation. Someone is targeting your clients this fact will affect your practice adversely that’s why you didn’t come to police earlier.” Neil concluded.

“I…wo…no this is not true…” Isha again tried to give expalantion but Neil was not interested in it as he guessed her true intention right. “No need of any of this drama now…just help us in further investigation or else I’ll put your name too in the chargesheet.” Neil threatened. Isha gulped down hard, “Please, don’t do this. I’ll cooperate with you.” She agreed.

“Hello Mini, how are you?” Manmeet asked from Mini during lunch break. Mini just averted her eyes from him and tried to ignore him. “Mini, I know I messed up yesterday but you know na….it was not my fault…I was just trying to get all of us out of that situation…and how would I know that officer was your husband….you only told me that you guys are separate from longtime.” Manmeet tried to reason.

“I know Manmeet, it was not entirely your fault but what you did…why you have to call me and Arya as your wife and kid…even if Neil hasn’t come there…I wouldn’t have liked it also.” Mini replied. “Come on Mini, it was just an innocent mistake. I am sorry for it. I promise it will not happen again.” Manmeet said while holding his ears and giving puppy looks. “Ok fine! You are forgiven please stop this now.” Mini agreed.

“So, what’s the scene between you and your husband?” Manmeet asked. “Excuse me! This is my personal matter.” Mini said offended. “Mini, I was just asking as a friend…..you know…I am worried for you…the way he behaved with me and dragged you away yesterday….is he a nice guy?” Manmeet asked again. “Manmeet he is a very nice person. He just a little possessive about me…that’s it.” Mini defended Neil. “So are you guys like…back together?” Manmeet inquired again. Mini was now fuming in anger. She had lost her patience. She was not liking the way how Manmeet was unnecessarily poking his nose in her personal matter. She was about to give him her piece of mind when Manmeet’s phone rang. Mini saw the phone screen. It was flashing ‘dad calling’ but Manmeet cut the call. “I think it might be important. You should take the call.” Mini suggested. “Nothing important. It was just a wrong number.” Manmeet brushed off the topic and then after few seconds without saying anything he went away distracted by some thought.

“Sir, I have asked for all the data of her clientele from Dr.Mehra’s office. It seems that she has said another lie to us.” Mickey said. “About what?’ Neil asked. “She said that she treated all of them at different time and she didn’t remember exactly when but looking at her appointment register its clear that all the victims were coming for regular follow up sessions with her.” Mickey showed the appointment register.

“Hmm…you are right.” Neil said and kept looking at the register lost in thoughts. “Sir, ye dr. hi kuch gadbad lagti hai mujhe…jhoot bole ja rahi…I think ise arrest karna chahiye…lock up mein thodi khatirdaari hogi to sach ugal degi.” Mickey suggested. “Mickey, we don’t have any direct proof against her. On what grounds we will arrest her? and besides this…I don’t think she is behind all this…I mean she is shrewd but murders….I don’t think so.” Neil stated his opinion.

“Do one thing, study in details all his clientele database and let me know if you find anything….there has to be something..she has treated thousands of people…then why those 5 victims are chosen by the killer…agreed they were perfect people but how he came to know about it….whats his selection process?” Neil stated his doubts. “Yes, sir. I’ll let you know the details.”Mickey said and saluted him before leaving.

Mini was changing chanels on tv as there was nothing interesting. She was getting bored and looked at the wall clock. It was 9.00pm. Just then Neil came from work and greeted her. “Whats the matter? You are on time today?” Mini asked. “I knew that you’ll be alone tonight as dad and Arya have gone to the village and you don’t like eating alone so ….” Neil left the sentence incomplete as Mini smiled at him.

Neil went into his room to freshn up while Mini brought his tea for him with a box. “Whats in there?” Neil asked as he took his cup of tea. “A surprise for you. Yesterday you got me something so I thought today I should get you something in return.” Mini replied. Neil looked at Mini as she opened the box. “Oh God! It’s a cheese cake.” Neil said and laughed out loud. Mini also started laughing with him.

“Don’t worry, I have not made this. I brought it from the market so you can have it. You wont puke after eating it.” Mini informed him as she took a spoon full of it and made him eat with her own hands. Neil finished his tea then took few bites of cheese cake. Both of them went down the memory lane remembering incident related to it.

Cheese cake was Neil’s favourite. He used to bring it from the market all the time. Mini decided that she will learn to make it for Neil. She spent all day in kitchen for it after trying for some third time she was successful in making one. When Neil returned at night she had presented her cheese cake to him. It was good looking but when Neil took first bite he found it difficult to gulp it down as it was so bad almost turned sour in taste. But he didn’t want to break Mini’s heart so gulped down few bites with difficulty then when she went inside he ran to the bathroom to puke and Mini saw it. She tasted it herself and she also threw up. Mini started crying as she felt very bad that even after trying whole day she couldn’t make even simple cheese cake for Neil. Neil had wiped her tears and hugged her till she had stopped crying, “Don’t worry, you don’t need to learn to make it….you yourself are my cheese cake…soft, sweet, smooth and tasty.” Neil had said giving her a new nickname which he only called her in the privacy of their room.

“So, hows it?” Mini asked from Neil and he came out of the past memories. “Nice but not as good as my cheese cake.” Neil replied as he touched Mini’s nose with his finger playfully. Mini blushed and looked down. “I want to taste it.” Neil said. Mini again brought a spoonful of cake to his mouth. “No, not this one…I want a taste of my cheese cake.” Neil said huskily as he took the spoon from Mini’s hands and kept it aside.

Mini couldn’t say anything when she felt him coming close to her. She closed her eyes as she felt his hand cupped her face. Neil kissed her softly and then ran his tongue on her lips as if really tasting her. Mini’s heart started thumping against her chest. Neil indulged her into a passionate kiss and Mini knew this is not going to stop here now. With the demanding nature of his kiss she could guess what will follow next. A fight started between her mind and heart. Mind was telling her to stop him as she still hasn’t decided that she will go back to him so without that decision getting physical was not a good idea while her heart had picked up the romantic beat in rhythm of his heart and it was forcing her to reciprocate his gestures. The need to stay in his arms right now was inevitable.

Finally all thoughts left her when she felt his hands cupping her chest. “Neil…” she moaned his name and he deepen the kiss inserting his tongue in her welcoming mouth. Mini started feeling him under his t shirt. She caressed his abs and chest while he worked on removing her dress. He looked at Mini like he was looking at her for the first time. He had almost forgotten how she was. Contours of her body had changed since their separation. Her face looked mature, breast looked fuller and her small waist had few extra pounds deposited on either sides while her a** was as tight as before but had rounded a little. All this had made her more curvaceous and sexy as hell. Previously she was more girly but now she was a mature and complete woman.

Neil wanted a feel of her body. He slid his hands from her shoulders to her chest. He fondled them for few seconds before moving towards her waist. He squeezed her waist and she squeaked in pleasure and his hands travel to her sexy a** and he grabbed it in his hands. Mini was on the point of no return now. She let herself lose completely in his sensual touch. He carried her in his arms and placed her on the bed.

He joined her on the bed when she rolled him and came on top of him. Mini removed his t shirt and ran her hands all over him like she wanted to on that day when she had applied ointment on his shoulders. She again noticed the several marks on his body. “How you got all this?” She asked while caressing them. “Last year….when I was attacked…scars of bullet and other injuries.” Neil said as he drew in a sharp breath getting aroused by the way she was touching him everywhere. I remembered she had seen him during that time. She never thought it would leave all these scars.

Mini remembered Neil’s condition when he was hospitalized and her tears threatened to fall down any moment. She dipped her head down and kissed on his every scar. She ran her tongue along side a long cut mark and placed open mouth kisses as if to soothe the pain he must have felt during that time. Neil pulled her up by holding her hair as he couldn’t stop himself anymore….all these years he had yearned for her and now she was paying all the attention with extra sensitivity towards his scars, this was making him crazy with need.

He rolled her over and got rid of their remaining clothes. He once again kissed her delectable body before finally claiming her. Mini closed her eyes in content when she felt him inside her. Now she realized she had missed him too much all this while. She wrapped her both legs around his waist. Both made slow and passionate love till their heart’s content.

“What about your case? Any progress?” Mini asked while lying in his arms under the sheet. “ Yes, I think we will catch the killer soon.” Neil replied as he balanced himself on one elbow now. “After that? You will go back?” Mini asked nervously. “I have to….but I don’t intend to go alone.” Neil replied as he caressed Mini’s hair. He saw the questioning look in her eyes and said, “I want you and Arya back in my life. I miss you so much….I cant live without you anymore…come with me.”

“But….my job and Arya’s school…its only a mid year and….”Mini stated her obvious problems. “Its ok…I am not asking you to come immediately. Arya can complete this academic year and you can serve the notice period…You’ll easily find job there basis on your experience…..just take the decision…make your mind about coming with me.” Neil explained. “Neil…I…”Mini tried to say something when Neil put his finger on her lips. “I know you were there….last year…in hospital…taking care of me when I was unconscious….I could feel you around me and later I came to know from doctors and also your dad….but why didn’t you stay when came out of unconscious state? I wanted to see your face…so much so that…it pained me more than the injuries that you didn’t stay back.”

“I wanted to but….I was afraid….I couldn’t face you…I thought if I meet you then I wont be able to go back ever.” Mini confessed as tears made her eyes wet finally. “Why you wanted to go away then?...I am tired..of this differences between us….I want you back again….even if we keep fighting I want you back…please…come back to me…I know I didn’t use to give you enough time but trust me….I will try to change….these distance between us has taught me the value of a family…I cant go on alone now…I want you both again in my life.” Neil requested.

“Neil…I can see that you are trying to change…you are making efforts…but still….I need some more time to think…please understand…now its not only about me…its about arya also…give me some more time please.” Mini replied.

Though Neil was disheartened on listening her answer but he didn’t let it show on his face. He nodded his head in yes and rolled back again on his back taking her with him. Now she was lying on his chest. He kissed her forehead caressed her hair till she fell asleep. He also closed his eyes to sleep hoping that she takes her decision soon and come with him.

Mini and Arya were going with Manmeet in his car when Neil’s car just passed by from the opposite direction and he saw Mini with Manmeet. He asked driver to stop the car as he looked back. Neil saw that traffic policeman at the signal has asked the man who was driving that car to park the car on the side. That man came out of the car and traffic policeman was asking something from him. Neil decided to see whats happening. He told driver to take u turn and went near them.

“I don’t know anything sir. Show me your license.” Traffic policeman said. “Sir, I have license but forgot to bring today.” Manmeet argued. “Ok, then I’ll fine you for it.” Traffic policeman said and brought out his challan book. “Arre, sir please try to understand…..mujhe bahut jaruri kaam se jaana hai…I am getting late….jaane do na….meri biwi aur bachhi saath mein hain….wo log pareshan ho jayenge.” Manmeet lied to the traffic cop so that he will let him go. Mini gasped at his lie and glared at him. Manmeet looked at her but requested her to keep quiet. “What the hell Manmeet? Why you lied?” Mini whispered angrily. “Mini, ek chhota sa hi toh jhoot hai just to getaway from this situation.” Manmeet replied.

“But…” Mini tried to argue but he gestured her to keep quite for sometime as he again started to request traffic policeman to let him go. Neil came there and traffic cop saluted him. “Whats happening here?” he asked. “Sir, this man. Inki car window par black film chadhi hui hai which is illegal. When I asked him to show me the license he is said he forgot them it at home.” Cop informed Neil. Mini looked out of the window and saw Neil. She gasped and tried to came out of the car but Manmeet didn’t let her, “Let me handle the situation.” Manmeet said and locked the car door. He thought he would try to become hero in this situation and Mini will be impressed by him.

Manmeet turned towards Neil, “Look officer, you seems quite understanding to me. Please help me, here this traffic cop is not understanding my situation. I know I don’t have documents but I am not some thief…I forgot them at home but please my wife and kid is with me so let me go now…its kinda urgent.”

Mini closed her eyes in embarrassment. She tried to tell Manmeet to stop this nonsense right now but Manmeet didn’t pay attention on her. “Hmm…I see…YOUR wife and kid.” Neil said as he raised his brow at him. Neil also looked at Mini for fleeting second. She looked helpless and embarrassed at the stupidity of this man…whoever he was. “Yes sir, please let me go…my wife needs me right now..we were going….”Manmeet couldn’t complete his sentence as Neil has held him from his collar. The moment he referred Mini as his wife again Neil’s blood had boiled and he lifted Manmeet up few inches from the ground holding him by his collar.

“Say it again.” Neil said menacingly. Manmeet was confused as to what happened to this officer all of a sudden while Mini gasped looking Neil so angry. She knew if she didn’t intervened Neil will probably hit Manmeet black and blue. “Neil, please….leave him…he didn’t mean what he say….he was just trying to make excuse to get out from here.” Mini requested. Neil looked at Mini. She was almost pleading with her eyes and then he looked at the backseat. Although the door and window was closed but he knew Arya was there too and he didn’t want to create any scene in front of her so he left Manmeet.

“No fine. Arrest this man for breaking rules.” Neil ordered the traffic cop and snatched the car keys from Manmeet and opened the car lock. He then opened the car door and held Mini’s hand authoritatively to pull her out. Manmeet looked at them in shock not understanding a thing. “Arrest…me…why?” Manmeet asked. Listening to him Mini held Neil’s hand and pressed it a little, “Please, he is my colleague. He is not bad person.” Neil took a deep breath to control his anger and nodded in yes. “Fine him and let him go.” He ordered again and traffic cop complied it.

Manmeet was still confuse over the situation when he asked Mini, “Who is he?” just then Neil opened the back seat door of the car and Arya jumped in Neil’s arms excitedly, “Papa, you here?” Manmeet’s eyes went wide with shock listening to that. Mini turned towards him, “Now you got it? He is my husband you idiot.” She whispered. Manmeet finally understood what stupidity he has done. He wanted to talk to Mini but he didn’t get chance as Neil again held Mini’s hand almost pulling her with him.

Neil asked Mini and Arya to sit in his car and told driver to drop them home first. Mini looked at him from the corner of her eyes. He still seemed upset as he was not talking to her. “Look…what just happened…”Mini tried to give explanation but Neil didn’t let her complete. “He was your colleague really? You work with these kinds of people? Who claims someone else’s wife and children as their own?” Neil asked angrily.

Mini knew Manmeet’s idea was stupid and he in a way crossed the limit but now that Neil was getting angry with her she had to retort and say something in defense. “He is a fellow teacher. He is a nice person. He was just doing what any normal person had done to get out of such situation. He didn’t have any malafide intentions.”

“Why you were even there in his car?” Neil questioned again a little harshly. “I didn’t have my scooty with me today and Arya wanted to go home as soon as possible. He offered us lift and I took it…whats a big deal?” Mini replied frustrated from his accusations now. He sounded like she willingly went with Manmeet and even if she did why he overreacting so much.

Neil wanted to argue again but then Arya asked them innocently after listening their argument. “Mumma, papa…are you guys fighting again?” “No princess, we were just…just….” Neil didn’t know what to say. In his anger he had completely forgotten about Arya. “Baby, we were just talking about Manmeet uncle.” Mini covered up for Neil. Neil just nodded his head slightly and mouthed ‘thanks’ to Mini and she acknowledged it. They reached home. Mini came out of the car and was about to go inside when Neil stopped her. “Sorry! I…lost my control and over reacted…I hope you will still come for dinner.”

Mini wanted to say no but she saw Arya’s face. They need to sort out their differences for Arya. That’s why she had agreed on the first place and todays incident was not anybody’s fault so she just nodded her head in yes and Neil sighed in relief. When he saw Mini went inside he picked up Arya in his arms and asked, “Princess, how is your Manmeet uncle?” “He is nice papa. He takes me and mumma to caffe sometimes and there he orders my favourite pastries then he also gives us lift in his car like he did today.” Arya answered. “Do you like him? And what about your mumma…she likes him?” Neil knew he shouldn’t ask such questions from Arya but he couldn’t help. He was jealous and angry. The way that man referred Mini as his wife….Neil wanted to beat him to a pulp but he controlled because of Mini. He needed to know about this Manmeet and how much interaction he had with Mini and Arya.

“Manmeet uncle is a nice man…I guess mumma likes him.” Arya replied after thinking for few seconds. “More than me?” words slipped through his mouth before he could stop. “Papa…what are you saying? No one can take your place in my and mumma’s life.” Arya assured him. Neil finally felt the pressure on his head and heart has lifted. But it was shock to his system. Thinking about another man in Mini’s life …..he need to sort out things between them soon befoe any Manmeet or any other man comes into the picture. He asked Arya to go inside and went to the police station again.

Mickey, Hanuman and other team members were questioning the relatives of victims as per Neil’s orders. “Is there anything which you haven’t told us already? I mean any slightest of thing which could be vital for the case…any enemy of Rajesh…any smallest tiff with anyone?” Mickey asked from Rajesh’s brother. “No inspector, he was such a good soul. Wo to kisi se unchi awaaz mein baat tak nahi karte the..jhagda to dur ki baat hai. He was an inspiration to us. He made his identity even after he went through very difficult phase in his life.” Rajesh’s brother replied.

“What difficult phase?” Mickey asked again. “There was a time in his life when he was suffering from mental trauma. He had troubled marriage. All this had really affected bhaiyya’s mental health. So for very long time he had taken services of a psychiatrist. But he came out of that phase and worked hard in his life.” Rajesh’s brother told Mickey. Mickey just nodded and told him to go as he felt there is nothing coming out which could help in the case.

Mickey came to Neil’s cabin where Hanuman and others also briefing about their questioning sessions with victims relative. “So you guys found out nothing?” Neil asked. “No, while talking to Rashmi’s parents I felt sometimes that the girl was not less than a devi…I mean no affairs, no enemies, no tantrums etc…..perfect…just like you said all the others victims are.” Hanuman replied. “Sir, same here, that boy Rohit also didn’t have any such thing in life which could be a reason for his murder except that when he was a kid he had temper issues and went to a psychiatrist for help.” Another officer replied.

“What? Rajesh also went to psychiatrist for brief period.”Mickey informed. “Hey! Rashmi also went to psychiatrist for treatment of depression.” Hanuman informed. Mini was waiting for Neil in the restaurant since half n hour. She was now fuming with anger. They were supposed to come together but at the last moment Neil has called her to say that he will directly meet her at the restaurant. She had started having doubts then and there only that Neil is not going to make it to the restaurant and she will wait for him there like a fool then will leave for home alone without eating anything. Its not a first time he is doing this.

Mini was about to give up when she saw police car stopped right at the gate of the restaurant and Neil came out of it. He entered the restaurant and saw Mini. He walked in long strides towards her but was interrupted by the hotel manager. Manager seems worried and nervous…Of course…why not…Neil was in uniform..poor manager must have thought there is some problem with their restaurant.

Neil walked towards Mini’s table and sat down opposite to her. She looked around many people were looking at their table because of Neil and Mini felt like she was not on date but on some interrogation. “Couldn’t you change your uniform? Everyone is looking at us.” Mini asked now getting irritated from all the looks they were getting especially from the girls. Neil is handsome and to add to that his uniform makes him more hot and impressive. That tag of IPS on his broad shoulders is enough to command respect from everyone and dreamy looks from all the girls.

“If I had extra time then I why would I have asked you to come here alone.” Neil answered her question. “Actually I am late because I was busy in……” Neil tried to give explanation but Mini interrupted him, “….Ya, I know….you were busy in duty n all.” “No, I was busy in finding a perfect gift for you.” Neil replied and brought a beautiful gift wrapped box from his pocket. Mini saw it with wonder as she couldn’t believe Neil would bring gift for her.

“What was the need to bring gift?” she asked though she took it from his hands at once. Neil smiled at her. She was always curious and excited to open gifts. “Zarurat thi iski…remember I brought a gift for you on our first date. It was in this restaurant only. So I thought I should buy you a gift again to make it memorable.” Neil replied. “Hmm…again trying to impress me?” Mini asked raising her brow. “Kuch aisa hi samajh lo.” Neil winked and Mini blushed.

Mini opened the gift box and was speechless for some time. She took out the small diamond embedded nose pin from it. “You brought me a nose pin?” She asked smiling at him. Her eyes were shining with happiness. The shine of diamond was weak in front of them. “Yes, first time it was toe rings so I thought why not nose pin this time….I know you like these traditional accessories very much.” Neil replied. “Come on try it.” Neil asked. “What? Now?” Mini gasped. “Yes, why not?” Neil encouraged her. Mini looked at her reflection in mobile and put the nose pin on. She again checked how she was looking in the mobile. Neil held her hand and put down the mobile. “You can look into my eyes….you are looking gorgeous.” Neil said and Mini felt her cheeks have turned pink. All the fight from morning, all the complaints of coming late and making her wait were forgotten. His sweet gesture has covered up for all the bitterness since morning.

The dinner proved to be an ice breaker between them. For the first time since he has come Patiala they were talking without hesitation and awkwardness like they did on their first date. They felt like they were reliving their first date. They talked about Arya and things they missed out in each others life. Neil confessed that he miss her and Arya so much and Mini confessed she miss talking to him, doing things for him. They enjoyed their dinner and returned to home after that.

“Goodnight.” Mini wished him and turned to go into her room when he held her hand. “Don’t you remember how our first date ended?” Neil asked as he came close to her. Mini looked down shyly as she remembered they had kissed at the end. Mini looked down unable to meet his eyes. Neil took another step forward now their bodies almost touching. Mini’s heartbeat become fast as she anticipated what is about to happen. She was nervous and excited for it at the same time. Neil cupped her face and lifted her chin up. Mini closed her eyes and parted her lips granting silent permission. Neil placed a soft kiss first on her lips and then slowly began nibbling and sucking her lips indulging her into a passionate one. Mini reciprocated immediately and her hands found their usual place on his neck. And just like their first date Mini fell in love with him all over again when he ended the kiss leaving her breathless.
