Synopsis
Jhalak Shekhawat has always pampered and protected her younger sister Pari like a mother since they had lost their parents at a very young age. She could go to any extent for her sister. Jhalak leaves studies to do a job in order to take care of herself and her sister, thatās where she meets Abhimanyu Singhania, a handsome yet understanding gentleman who knows how to respect women. That was the thing that attracted her towards him.
Abhimanyu along with his elder brother Vihaan handles Singhania Enterprises with their father. Vihaan has always been an ideal for Abhimanyu and guides him in all his decisions.
Slowly but shortly, Abhimanyu falls in love with Jhalakās innocent yet strong-willed nature.
Jhalak's life takes a remorseful turn when Pari tries to commit suicide and lands up in coma. She finds Pari's diary and learns that Pari was in love with someone who she used to address as 'humraaz' and that person has cheated and tortured her emotionally which led to a heartbroken Pari trying to end her life. Jhalak is infuriated to learn about this and vows to ruin the man who is responsible for Pari's condition.
Abhimanyu is Jhalakās support system all this while. He promises to help her and get justice for Pari.
When Abhimanyu tells Vihaan about Pari's condition and his promise to Jhalak, Vihaan encourages Abhimanyu to support Jhalak and even marry her as he already loves her and can see that Jhalak has a soft corner for him in her heart as well.
Abhimanyu proposes to Jhalak. She is reluctant at first but eventually agrees for the marriage as she is unable to handle everything on her own.
They get married and Jhalak starts falling in love with Abhimanyu.
One day, Jhalak's eyes fall upon Vihaan's laptop which has been left open and she sees a file named 'humraaz'. She starts suspecting that Vihaan is the man who cheated her sister but when she opens the file, she is left shell-shocked seeing pictures of Pari with Abhimanyu.
An enraged Jhalak confronts Abhimanyu who is equally shocked and denies having any relationship with Pari. Jhalak refuses to believe him and leaves his house heartbroken.
Pari has slowly started recovering with the medical treatment paid for by Abhimanyu which Jhalak is unaware of.
Pari finally wakes up one day and Jhalak brings Abhimanyu in front of her. Pari addresses him as 'Abhishek' which leaves Jhalak confused. With some research and the help of a psychologist, Jhalak learns that Abhimanyu has been suffering from Split Personality Disorder.
After lots of effort and dedication, she learns that Vihaan is Abhimanyu's step brother and has been instigating Abhimanyu's split personality to commit heinous crimes with the excuse of 'going on business trips' just to get rid of him so that Vihaan can have the business all to himself.
What will Jhalak do now? Will she support her husband or will she get justice for her sister?

Storyline:
The story is about Simone, a rich older woman, an accomplished law professor (& ex-lawyer), who is having a miserable personal life. She is intrigued by one of her new students Aditya, who is very enigmatic and has a charming demeanor, has shown interest in her instead of going after someone of his age. Both of them surprisingly get along really well and begin dating. Although she is already married, but even before meeting Aditya, she was living separately and was contemplating divorce with her money-hungry husband.
The big question she always have on her mind is whether Aditya is honest about his feelings, is this really love or is he another Misogynist? When she introduced Aditya to her children, they were suspicious as well, which makes them hostile towards Aditya and cause lot of fights between Simone and her children.
She eventually decides to get engaged to Aditya. But despite their engagement, Simoneās kids and their constant judgments about Aditya, creates misunderstanding which pushes Simone further away from her family. Once she is gone and along the way, he discovers that she wasnāt responsible for his parentās death (it was her husband), it sends him in a shock and depression. He is totally a lost person now, however in a stark difference to her family who has quickly gotten over her death.
