You are speaking of a hypothetical situation. We don't know what would have happened.

I'm talking about what is happening now.

I don't think the agencies arresting her is patriarchy. But the reactions are definitely.

I see this not only on TV but even in real life where people around me are like 'kha gayi sone jaise ladke ko'. We are not even open to the possibility that maybe he was ill, maybe he did drugs, maybe he chose to do drugs despite being ill.

All possibilities that hopefully the agencies will have the correct answer to. In fact any thought of him even having made mistakes is tarnishing his memory forgetting that a girl is still alive.

But, I can see patriarchal mindset among the people who lapped up the narrative of the gold-digger girlfriend, who manipulated an innocent man, took control over his finances and household, distanced him from his family, drugged him without his knowledge etc etc, all with her beauty, sex appeal and some black magic! The fact that this theory has found so much resonance despite there being no proof at all (so far), is indicative of society's deep-rooted prejudice against independent women.

You're taking it in a different angle than I've made it about. So I'll clarify, the problem is some people who wanted law to take its course and now bashing the same law they trusted because a female being arrested and using woman card, the messed up concept of Feminism is my point here.

The world have been patriarchal. Heck even a part of my home is, so this world needs Feminism and lots of it. The bollywood who are slamming patriarchy would have had me and many alike if they spoke up during kaala jaadu period. But no they spoke up post arrest because its a female being labelled as a criminal.

This whole thing has so many facets.

Rhea n bw using women card right nowis wrong.if shes arrested for drug related reasons that is lawful.

but yes theres a hidden misogyny is the way many people reacted before.twitter was full of how bengali girls r too outspoken n dont respect men the way they should type comments even from verified accs comments equating her to witch n black magic claims and what not.

both audience n now bw behaving irrensponsibly just getting way too involved in something that most people barely know an iota about bcz u dont know these people.

more than misogyny it has exposed the way indians see mental health. Kuch aur ho na ho,Rhea gets punished or not,but pretty sure indians with geuine mental health issues will now think 10 times before going to a doctor or sharing their issues with anyone.

Uparse so many people like payal n kangana did behti ganga me hath dhona.uparse now shivsena acting like so disgusting . Bollywood now speaking up because they r scared of their drug uses getting exposed. This whole thing is a mess n has exposed so many people in so many ways. Koibhi acha nhi h yaha . I just hope the departed soul is in a peaceful place

Exactly their are many facades.... that's why all genuine warriors can do is to hope, wish and pray for the truth to be out.

About bengali girls.... trust me my insta and fb gives me shivers on the way they are speaking about us bengali girls. Someone actually said it on my face when I was wearing a saree in a function kaise hum rijhate hai ladko ko in our sarees.🙄

Here all I'm saying that how is arresting someone for criminal offence is patriarchy?

Nope the female being arrested is the wrong concept of feminism. Rhea should be dealt with the law if the CBI found evidence of abetment to suicide. Alas, they didn’t. It is the patriarchy mindset of raja beta can’t do no wrong that a gold digger, voodoo doll woman has dwindled his finances to maintain her family and drugged him is what the fight is about. The fight is also about the treatment of male actors with more evidence who didn’t go through the same treatment of justice that Rhea did! That’s the patriarchy fight here.

In the easier route of throwing feminists and libtards, the disservice done is enormous to the fight of women and pushing it behind by decades.

The concept of Feminism that I understand is the same amount of opportunities that you'd give my male counterparts is what I deserve, same treatment. I can't be a hypocrite in saying that I'll accept the applause equal to my male colleague, the paycheques equal but not similar law when I'm the criminal? HYPOCRISY.

From yesterday I'm seeing different versions of feminisms that very tactfully says, I'm a feminist as long as I'm the beneficiary.

For example: If I'm standing in line along with males for an interview I not getting an early entry isn't patriarchy. Its patriarchy when the man standing behind me gets to enter earlier just because he's a male (ITS JUST AN EXAMPLE)

Crime is wrong, criminals should be punished according to the IPC it doesn't matter if the criminal is a male or a female. When you point finger at a dead male to cover up for a criminal female its PSEUDO FEMINISM.

The concept of Feminism is so messed up with my generation that they think if they aren't treated better than males it's patriarchy.

FEMINISM IS HUMANS BEING TREATED EQUALLY AND GIVEN EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES IRRESPECTIVE OF THEIR GENDER.

Treating criminals equally isn't patriarchy.

P.S. I've never before spoken my entire mind in this forum, but I had to today. Hope to not have hurt anyone's sentiments. I'm ready for all the negativities coming my way 💜

God Bless All

Dear Bollywood VIOLETS ARE VIOLET IN COLOUR, VIOLET ISN'T BLUE THEY BOTH ARE DIFFERENT COLOURS 🤦

Feminism for most people today is preferential treatment for women- WHICH IS WRONG! It is infact against the whole idea of feminism which is to treat a person as a human irrespective if their gender!

And all these people are biggest supporters of patriarchy but they themselves don’t know this partly due to their conditioning, partly due to their ignorance, and mostly due to their idiocy.

Yeah, and I loved how you pointed that they are even color blind 🤦

It would have been a fight against patriarchy had they stood up against Sooraj Punch-oli. It would have been a fight against patriarchy had they spoke up when the kaala jaadu angle was up. But all came down to the treatment by agencies (arrest) is Pseudo Feminism.

It'll just take the main agenda decades back 💔
