Naagin 5 - Take 7

Hey guys, I am back with my take on tonight's episode. Okay, I won't call it a dhamakedaar episode, but I would call it a base episode. Base because it's building the base to the final revelation of events that happened in the past, as the precap suggests. Now, I have no clue whether the confrontation between Cheel and Naagin will happen after Bani's tandav or prior to that. I would like to believe the latter going by the promo. Anyway, before I go on a rant over the precap, I will just give my observations on the episode.

Highlights - Yay!!!!👍🏼

Bani saving the day - Yes, Bani saving the day for the girls at least. Itna credit to madam ko dena padega that she did manage to save the girls. But unfortunately, not Naina, maybe?? Honestly, aisi thakeli naagin ka to tapak jaana hi thik hai. Tujhse acha to Jai hai. Lagta Persian King Xerxes hi sahi, lekin usme shakti to hai. Naina to naagin ke naam pe kalank hai. Kidnap ho jaati hai, khud rassi nahi khol pati, khud ko cheel se bhi nahi bacha sakti, vyarth hai iska jeevan. And anyway, extra smart banne ki yahi punishment hai. Usko kisne bola jaakar Bani ko kuch bhi kehne ko, she is not the one who should be revealing anything. If these 3 are meant to remember, they will remember when the time is right. I don't take it against Bani that she collapsed after the blast. I would just say that since she has no idea about the magnitude of her power and her identity, she has no clue about protecting herself properly. When she realizes her identity as Adi Naagin, I think we will see her at the peak of her power. I think we should give Bani the benefit of the doubt.

Veer saves Bani - So the light is sneaking into nooks and corners of Veer's "cheel" existence. We witnessed Veer at the prime of his powers and he knows how to utilize them. Hence Veer as the cheel was a treat to watch, just as much as I like his obsessive jerk streak. I like it how Sharad very seamlessly performs as an ichchadhaari cheel, because his gestures and postures as a kite are expressed really well in his human form. His worry, concern, anger and sanak are conveyed rather well to an unconscious Bani. The way he cares for her and makes her warm and tends for her is unlike for the Cheel Veer. He doesn't do this. He doesn't protect or save people. He is not nice without reason. But now he has a reason - Bani. She is the light creeping inside him, and he does not understand why.

Veer and Bani's connection - So, I am trying to make sense of the conversation between Bani and Veer. Bani is trying to tell Veer to understand whether she hates him or not. Babe, what is your problem? You yourself say that you hate him, yet you go and dance with him, so that means tere dimaag me locha hai, Veer ke dimaag me nahi. So Veer's question is valid, if you don't hate me, then what draws you to me. She asks him that why are you after me, so Veer replies because you are bold, audacious, defiant, and look into my eyes and answer me. Also, I feel that probably you have killed me before. He feels a connection, and Bani questioned him about that, but, alas no answer. You know this "connection" wala scene was shown earlier between Jai and Bani. But it seems that this scene displayed a stronger connection - like both Bani and Veer felt something way stronger than what Jai and Bani will ever be able to feel for each other. Hate and Love are very strong and intense emotions. Aakesh died with an obsessive love in his heart saying "qubool hai". Naageshwari wished to give him a 1000 deaths in each life, so strong was her hate. So this equation between Veer and Bani will always outmatch Bani and Jai. Bani and Jai ke ird gird jitni bhi Shiv shlok, ghantiya, Naagin ke gaane croon karwalo, woh kabhi nahi hoga, jo tab hota hai jab Veer and Bani ek saath aate hai. Period.

Pandit vs Sapera - Okay, so honestly, ye 10000 saal purana pandit bahut hi pracheen ho gaya hai. Modern aur up-to-date to hamare Sapera uncle hai😉. Sab samajh aata hai usse. Usse samajh aata hai ki dushmani ka rukh badal raha hai. Lekin pandit daddu ko to kuch bhi samajh nahi aata. Pandit aur sapere ko dekh ke lagta hai jaise Naagin 5 ke do fandoms ho - Jai aur Bani and Veer aur Bani. Pandit bechara 10000 saal purane kaal me hi atka pada hai, Jai and Bani ke liye root kiye jaa raha hai. And Sapera uncle is modern, usko hamari tarah Veer and Bani me jyaada interest hai.😆

Highlights - Nayyyy!!!👎🏼

Daksh's Extra Cheel Perception - is the most bekaar to date connection. Although he is the sharp one among the Monky Ponky lot, but by God, his Cheel abilities ditch him a lot. Dude, you can sense a Naagin Naina, but you cannot sense a Naagin Bani. You can sense the abilities and strength of Jai, but you cannot sense he is Nag. Tum logo ke senses ka na transmitter check karwayo. Fuse on/off hote rehta hai🤣. I mean itna sharp hai, lekin itna bhi nahi. And if that is not enough, iske "Veer bhai" to itne mahaan hai, ke saara time Bani se chipke rehne ke bawajood, usko kuch pata nahi chalta. I think the only explanation there is for this is - Bani is Adi Naagin, her power is beyond any normal cheel's reach to comprehend. For Jai, I would say, he has not achieved transformation yet, so I guess sensing him fully isn't possible. Apart from that, I have no reasonable explanation.

Random Transformations - I find it rather laugh-worthy that these cheels and nags transform anywhere. Like dude, normal people are not used to shapeshifters, kuch to flaunt kam kiya karo. Ek to these creatures are so chill with death and random transformations that it becomes comical at times. Please creatives, both creatures are mysterious. Please maintain the mystery by keeping their transformations and aura intact. Don't make it so funny.

Observations:

Bani's memories - As we had all perceived, Bani did not get flashes with Jai's touch. Neither she saw anything when with Veer. But only the cheel's claw marks ignited those memories. Matlab, Veer's cheel avatar triggered her memories and also her anger. But trees ko ukhad dena kuch jyaada hi tha haan. I don't know why these situations are so comical to me. I mean I get it, uska gussa trigger hota hai, lekin reason usko pata nahi.

Jai's emotions - Ek to Mohit's expressions are all over the place. And when Jai comes on screen with Bani, that concern, that care comes across as plain dull. His concern does not reach out to me. As far as Bani is concerned, she could care less, because either she takes problems heads on or goes and flirts with danger, as in Veer. So something is rather off about Jai. Jai, dude, you can be a good partner in crime and all, but lover tumhare bas ki nahi hai. I am very sorry.

Precap - So as per the precap, Jai and Bani go to Shivji's rahasyamayi mandir and Veer follows them there. Well its quite natural that since their lives ended there 10000 years ago, so they have to come a full circle to remember their past. Only Adi Naagin and Nag can enter the temple, but Veer being a cheel cannot. But the moment he touches the temple, he gets flashes of his past. Jai also transforms into a Nag but is quite an angry Nag, I wonder why. Did he remember everything before his transformation? Will Bani remember anything? Going by the precap, she looks surprised that Jai is also a Nag. Will Veer remember anything? I guess they all do, because then it redirects to the promo of the Naagin and Cheel confrontation. Veer says, "Meri pehle nazar ka pyaar, janam janam tak rahega barkaraar" and Bani retorts, " Tera pyaar meri nafrat se dehel jaayega, jab ek Naagin apna badla legi to itihaas ka likha bhi badal jayega". So I guess, this is what is meant to happen. I think tomorrow we get to the real deal because they had to remember their past to know the purpose of what is happening to them.

Lastly, what revenge is Bani planning? I mean Naageshwari killed Aakesh in his previous life. Revenge ended with his life. What revenge will she take now? Her remembering her previous life will only reinforce her current hate for Veer, and liking for Jai, nothing else. I mean will they plan to show a love story of Jai and Bani, I mean yuck dude.🤢 They can't even bring chemistry in their normal interactions, how will they romance each other. And I hope that we get to see a stronger and fiercer Bani henceforth. And hope that Jai improves as well. Veer me kuch badlega to nahi, he will be the same sanki cheel, only he will know the reason for this sudden attraction. Uff, I guess ab real mazaa aayega.

The show always sends me back reminiscing to my Pyaar Ki Ye Ek Kahaani days. It was catered more to the youth, but it was fun. Honestly, I am looking forward to some real Naga and Cheel camaraderie in the show. Like how all of them live together under one roof and become frenemies. I guess only Veer and Bani can do that. Also hoping that Jai and Veer actually become Sholay's Jai-Veeru😆. If werewolves and vampires can work together, so can Naga and cheels. It would be fun to see them fight together against a bigger and powerful common enemy. Hope for the best. Let's see aage kya hota hai.

I think Naina was meant to die for a reason because the truth about Adi Naagin past life can't get revealed to her this soon she can only see flashbacks of those random people without knowing who they are not even Shivji will tell her anything she will just have to live this life without knowing about her past life.

I think the worst part has to be Veer transformation happening in the restaurant was just weird and funny.

Jay character needed a better actor to carry the show forward I feel bad when I see the trolling and bashing Mohit is getting on Instagram and Twitter but dude has to buckle up and make an effort atleast he has 1 expressions paste on his face in all emotions he's trying to show.

Imo this should've been a whole new show all together instead of Naagin it would've looked much better as well.

Good that Naina died. By the way, Amika shail was supposed to enter the show right? What happened to that?

Coming to Pandit and Sapera, I agree. I’m with the Sapera since we both are on the same team.

Of course, Naina was meant to die for a reason. Its because she is not meant to tell Bani her truth or her past life. I guess this may be part of the clause of the curse given to Naageshwari. But I feel all 3 will remember their past once they are in that temple. Or it can happen like the last time. When Naageshwari became human, she was not aware of her human form. She saw the truth first based on Hriday's point of view, and later when she meets Aakesh, she gets to see her human form in full honesty. The same could be the case here as well. Jai and Veer remember the past. But Bani believes Jai's point of view first, because she trusts him and her vengeful side is triggered. But later Bani may get to see a different side of the story through Veer, and then she picks the side she wants to go to.

Imo this should've been a whole new show all together instead of Naagin it would've looked much better as well.

Haan, I found her way annoying as a naagin. She should have just kept her trap shut. Bani will come to know the truth when she should know. I guess that is part of the curse she received 10000 years ago.

@next bold.. So agree yeh connection wala scene pehle 2-3 baar hua hai Jai Bani k saath. But woh utna strong nahi laga. It was not like Bani was being effected by that.. Woh bas Jay ki baatein sun rahi thi.. But Veer k case mein she was lost, she was like usse bhi janna hai..

Jai and Bani ka jab scene hua tha to laga tha ki Bani Jai par daya kar rahi hai. Behen ko kuch to feel hua nahi. And jab Veer and Bani interact kar rahe the tab laga ki sirf Veer nahi, Bani bhi curious thi. It means she is unconsciously acknowledging that Veer affects her and has a connection with her.

@next pandit scene.. I also felt like Saphera toh Vani shipper hai re.. 😂

And you forget, the stars are the wives of the moon in ancient texts. Also going by the moon and star concept - Sab TV pe Aladdin naam ke show me, they showed the rebirth of Aladdin and Yasmine, where Alladin has the symbol of the moon on his hand and Yasmine has a symbol of a star. It was engraved on them before they died in the last life because they are inseparable like the moon and star. And in the next life, whenever the star and moon will come together, they will know their purpose of this life - destroy Zafar, which is the current track. So, they can show two stars and the moon, but the star is always meant to be with the moon, not another star.
