It's there other way round. There was nothing much to acknowledge other than the looks. Sometimes it is as simple as that

Never found anyone too good looking for bollywood.

ARK is is definitely very good looking, but not too good looking.

Bollywood is in need of more good looking men like him

Sometimes, the reverse works too. People who aren't good-looking get undue credit for their "acting" skill even when it's subpar at best. And people like Ash have to work ten times harder to drawn on their acting skills so that it supersedes their crazy good looks just so people can see and acknowledge it.
