Both of these female-centric movies were critically and commercially acclaimed. If you had to choose one, which one would it be?
I myself am confused!

Yeah Queen is also a gem👍🏼
Can't choose. The beauty of both the films is that the coming of age and change is internal and not external. They stay the same individual, but with more confidence and self love.

And this internal coming-of-age is beautifully depicted in both movies -- with a rare sensitivity and pathos, and not only that, without compromising on the entertainment factor!
Both are great films. Two of the best films this decade. I feel closer to English Vinglish though. Just the way it was shot, how natural it was!
Also, the music of both films is amazing. The only common factor between the two is Amit Trivedi. He is god of music after ARR.

I completely share your thoughts😊
EV for me. It has excellent repeat value, never been bored and imo the pace never dips. Sridevi was beyond perfect. Queen is lovely and beautiful, and the Paris/Lisa portion always makes me swoon/happy. But the Amsterdam portion is not on par, also when Raj's character comes back it starts becoming rather predictable.
