CVS don't use the same plot again and again. Remember during the KalChit wedding, we thought it was going to be another KBM?

I have not seen the promo yet, but to introduce Kalyani's wedding at this stage - I think there are 2 reasons.

1. The audience will get to see Malhar's true feelings - Anvi's truth will come out to the audience.

2. Some twists will be there. Like Kalyani agreed to this for some other reason, to prove Malhar innocent or to catch a criminal. Anna or Mrunal will be introduced soon.

Okay - then I was on the right track. This track is being shown for 2 reasons:

1. Auidence will see Malhar's feelings - Anvi and Malhar's relationship truth will come out to audience.

2. Kalyani will prove Malhar innocent in this process/get him acquitted, so she cannot suspend him. So Anu will have no choice but to accept it and Kalyani will decline marriage.

Mujhe marna mat, but iss rishte ki promo ke baad I'm feeling that maybe Anu isn't as dumb/awful as we think... in her mind this is the better solution for all parties concerned: she, like most people, thinks Malhar is married with child coming and that unfortunately Kalyani still loves him. Blackmailing isn't a good way but she may be thinking that if Kallu gets married to someone good, she'll be away both from the awful Deshmukhs and also from Mallu and Avni and won't be hurting all the time for one reason or another. Because as long as she's in Nal Nivas, she'll be hurting due to Anu's nonsense and AS/Pallavi/Vivek/Goda's war vs Malhar and the constant mention of the latter will keep also hurting, especially since Avni won't let her step outside without getting in her way somehow for some "friendly" meeting.

Don't take it at face value. There is more to this story.

Like you said Kalyani is an IAS Officer now, so no chance of marriage actually happening.
