Yes, I completely agree, the end was messed up A LOT. They had no time, they were given just 20 episodes to wrap up. An entire phase was cancelled. So 90 onwards they started rushing.

Vedant part - agreed to the CORE. I was SO SHOCKED. LOL!

That was too filmy for our standards and absolutely uncalled for! Bass Sid ko hero banane ke liye 😆

I wanted the ending as follows : Reddys dissolve the empire and distribute everything the business had amongst the people who were wronged by KK.

And they should've started afresh.

I never felt the need of KK being dragged to court cause what happened was of much more importance - KK being the winner YET AGAIN and choosing and controlling even his punishment.

You think a persona like KK would've allowed someone to drag him to court? Nopes, that would be too unreal.

About the marriage and engagement:

I think what happened was good enough! Sid first conquered Anu, took her by his aide and then confessed, albeit going the Prabhakar way. Marriage ke din ya engagement ke, kya fark padna tha, just the storyline of one to one combat would've got delayed as compared to their love story. I believe they genuinely had no time so just rushed through it.

I think they might come up with a Season 2 cause the loose ends are too many.

Yet, overall, I believe it is one of the finest on TV.

Nopes rey, Bindu Moving Images is new in the space. They started with EDKV I think.

They're currently doing EDKV 2 but that's bleeehhhhhh.

Baaki Dilip Jha was screenplay writer for Bade Acche Lagte Hain but that's such a typical Ekta Kapoor daily soap.

I don't think there's anything that goes in the league of YPNTKH.

Sid Anu will forever be the most underrated couple of ITV. <3

The parallels you showed in the second one with Anushka constantly walking away, were spot on! Every time she walked away from him was a painful moment, but it was also justified. It made, and it was the right thing to do.

I dunno how to describe her enough! She was always there for him, stood up for him undoubtedly and yet, moved away with all the love in her heart. IDK that line, when she says Riddhi that she will never stop loving him right after he dumped her quite in the face, IDK. THAT JUST CAUGHT ME SOOO BAD.

The last one has given me ALL the feels! Made me want to watch KRPKAB again. 😭😭😭 Also the song choice! Did you notice the Titanic poster that was up on Siddhant's wall? It was SO telling given Anushka and his relationship. Despite all the distances between them, despite all the time that passes, their love for each other remained strong as ever. It also echoes Anushka telling Siddhant, that her love for him is as deep as the ocean. And we all know what relationship the ocean has with the Titanic.

In a way, it also reflected what Siddhant was doing by trying to get Anushka to marry Vedant. Siddhant believed that he had to take himself out of the picture so that Anushka could live a happy life. Get married, have kids, grow old etc. If Anushka had married Vedant, she may have done whatever was required of her, but she wouldn't have ever been able to truly love him. All that love was reserved only for Siddhant. I'm glad that he got to his senses, and stopped the marriage in time. <3

I wanna share this with you:

When the show aired at that point, engagement was all done and fixed, we as a fandom didn't have ANY hope of Sid doing that and we all felt Sidushka would be lost now. I didn't even wanna watch the engagement cause it was SO HEARTBREAKING. Sid was on a mission, he himself was okay with Vedant Anushka (until Vedant becomes this absolute dumbass and confesses his motive of using her)

And his reaction was SO CUTE when he realised this: Anushka kaise reh paayegi.

It felt like the teenage Sid worrying about her!

I would LOVE a S2, but I just don't trust Sony as a network channel anymore. It meddles with the shows way too much, and always at inopportune times.

Loll, Dilip had mentioned that coming up with a story for EDKV S2 was tough for him. Idk why it had to be a S2 though. It could have been parcelled as a completely new show.

I looked into BALH, but it has so many episodes, I just backed out. 😆 Guess I'll have to make do with watching this one again. 🤷🏽‍♀️😂

I don't think there is either. There have been many that tried, but they've always failed in one way or another. Like all shows, they'll start off with a really strong premise, but then they'll go the typical saas bahu, or chudail/dayaan route.

Sometimes I wish that I had watched it while it aired, but I think watching it all at once made for a better viewing experience than the daily one. The flow, and coherency popped up better. :D

This is why Anushka is hella strong! She always makes the right choices, no matter how difficult they are. When she said that to Riddhi, a part of me wondered if she's saying that because she's so freshly hurt, but then I realized that there can never be anyone who loves her as much as Siddhant. He knows and takes care of the biggest to the littlest things about her. He may not make the grandest of gestures, but through his little actions, he expresses a great amount of love for her. It's the same from her side too. She doesn't need fancy gifts, just a small gesture is more than enough for her to feel happy. The level of understanding between these two is bar none. <3

For a long time even I had thought that Anushka might move on with Vedant because he was genuinely a good guy, and was very similar to KK. It would have been a heartbreaking ending for them, but I genuinely didn't know what to expect with this show because literally anything could have happened.

Loll, I was SO mad at Siddhant when he came to tell her not to marry Vedant. He was flippity flopping too much, and was toying with her emotions too much. I was so happy when Anushka called him out on the same, and basically put the burden on him to speak with KK. She has always said that she'll be there to support him, but he has to be the one to make the first move.

Speaking of, can we take a moment to appreciate the actors for teenage Sid & Anushka? They were SO bloody good, I would have been happy just seeing a whole track on them!

First of all happy birthday Gur (belated)!

You guys are discussing a show close to my heart - it was a victim of the plug being pulled too early on Sony but man the first 2 acts of the show will always be in my heart.

They departed from the TV norms in many ways and kept it believable often enough for me to stick with it. Some of the performances were wonderful! My favorite of course was Prabhakar. The way the actor played him was out of this world. I was heartbroken when he died but I understood that it was necessary for the story to progress. Still... And I love the background music!

I wish I knew you guys were watching it so I could discuss it too. Some great material in there.
